Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is often argued that In large cities is to build tall apartment blocks is the best way to provide enought home. I completely agree with this viewpoint since, everyone want better opportunity and comfortable life style therefore the population of city area is significantly higher than other area In addition if there will be tall apartment blocks it helps people for accomandation.
One of the main reason why I agree with this view is the it will be easier for people to rent an appartment when needed. this is mainly because if there will be enough apartment blocks for people then it will easier for people who can't afford to buy houses.for instance this type of appartment is for student jobholders and middle class family, who can easily rent and live this appartment. This furture supports my view that to provide enough homes in large ities is to build tall apartment block

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
Your position is clear: “I completely agree,” and you give a relevant reason about renting apartments, with students, workers and middle-class families as examples. However, the response addresses the task only partially because the ideas are brief and not sufficiently explained; for example, you do not show how building upwards would provide more homes or compare it with other possible approaches. The conclusion repeats the main claim rather than adding a developed summary. The response contains 144 words, so it is 106 words below the 250-word minimum; the 9 words copied from the prompt are not counted. Develop at least two reasons with specific explanation and examples, and ensure every part of the argument is supported.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some organisation: you begin with your opinion, introduce a supporting reason with “One of the main reason,” and end by restating your view. The example about students and workers also relates to the point about renting. However, progression is limited, and the first paragraph combines several ideas—city population, opportunity, lifestyle and accommodation—without showing clearly how they connect. Linking expressions such as “In addition” and “for instance” are attempted, but punctuation and sentence boundaries make some connections difficult to follow. The final sentence repeats the opening claim rather than bringing the argument to a clear close. Use separate paragraphs for distinct reasons and connect each explanation to its example with clear referencing.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use a small set of relevant terms, including “tall apartment blocks,” “rent,” “accommodation” and “middle class family,” so the general topic is understandable. However, the vocabulary range is limited and several noticeable spelling or word-choice errors make the writing less clear, such as “enought,” “accomandation,” “appartment” and “furture.” Some phrases are also imprecise, including “better opportunity” and “comfortable life style.” Aim for accurate topic vocabulary and natural collocations, such as describing housing as “affordable rental accommodation” or saying that high-rise buildings “increase housing capacity.” Proofread spelling carefully and avoid repeating “people” and “apartment” when a more precise alternative is available.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including a reason introduced by “since” and an example introduced by “for instance.” However, the range remains limited, and errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles and punctuation are frequent enough to make some sentences difficult to read. For example, “In large cities is to build tall apartment blocks is the best way” has a faulty structure, while “everyone want” and “it will easier” lack correct verb forms. The sentence beginning “this is mainly because” also runs into the next idea without clear punctuation. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses, checking agreement, articles and sentence boundaries.
