Student answer (Band 5.0)
The best way to provide enough homes in large cities is to build tall apartment blocks. I strongly agree with this statement, because i think people should move towards cities as compared to villages so enough number of homes should be built.
First reason is to to make enough homes and societies in villages also provide harm to enviornement including cattles grazing fields, water streams, air pollution increases which change the climatic affect in large cities so to avoid these alternations, people should provide enough homes in large cities is to build tall apartment blocks, so that enough number of accomdatation for people would be available, if someone is willing to survive in city life instead of manufacturing indvidual homes for themselves.
Moreover, there may be another reason, that many people move towards city sides because of resources like hospitals and universities. If we build tall apartments with large accomodation there may be a chance of poorer and middle class families to get accomodation at affordable prices at such large facilitated cities. Less machinery should be used to avoid noise pollution for this reason governement should step forward to overcome this enviornemntal damage.
Overall, i think that governement should construct tall apartment blocks for the well-being of humans in this way both get benefited so, I strongly agree with this statment. Nations economy would be stronger at the same time people will get accomodation at affordable rates in large cities. Wild life would also indulge over these governent projects to avoid damage of grazing fields for cattles.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
Your position is clear: you strongly agree that tall apartment blocks can provide homes, and you mention affordability and access to city resources such as hospitals and universities. However, the reasons are not developed clearly enough, and some points are confusing or only loosely connected to the question. For example, the claim that village societies cause pollution in cities, and the suggestion that wildlife would benefit from apartment projects, need explanation and support. The response also falls short of the required 250 words: 229 words were counted, with 28 words copied from the prompt excluded. Develop two relevant reasons with specific examples, and explain how high-rise housing addresses the shortage more effectively than alternatives.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “First reason” and “Moreover,” and a concluding paragraph beginning “Overall.” These markers help the reader identify the main sections. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow: the first body paragraph moves from village environmental effects to city accommodation without making the connection clear, while the second introduces machinery and noise pollution without showing how this supports the main argument. Linking phrases such as “for this reason” do not always express a clear relationship. Organise each paragraph around one reason, then explain and illustrate it before moving to the next point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “apartment blocks,” “affordable prices,” “noise pollution,” and “resources,” which helps communicate the general subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or spellings make ideas unclear, such as “large facilitated cities,” “climatic affect,” and “wild life would also indulge.” Repetition of “enough homes” and “accomodation” also limits precision. Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully; for example, describe cities as “well-serviced” and say that wildlife “may be protected” rather than “indulge.” More precise vocabulary would make your reasoning easier to understand without requiring unnecessarily complex words.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including conditional forms such as “if someone is willing to survive in city life” and a concluding sentence about the economy and housing. However, complex sentences are often faulty or difficult to follow, and errors occur frequently enough to affect clarity. Examples include “First reason is to to make enough homes,” “there may be a chance of poorer and middle class families to get accommodation,” and “people should provide enough homes … is to build.” Articles, sentence construction, and punctuation also need attention. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and separate connected ideas rather than joining many clauses with commas.
