Student answer (Band 5.5)
Many people believe that due to the limmited avalibility of place in big cities like delhi they can use the method of constructing tall building blocks . I completely agree with this view.
First of all, it is worth considering that for jobs opportunities, people migrate from small cities to big cities like mumbai which is creating conjustion over there furthermore increase the demand of accomodation consequently, constructing tall building rather than broad could be the one of the effective solution for instance, when we construct tall buildings more people can live in one building like we can see in our surrounding in my building 6 families lives whereas villages houses are spread in large area along in one road only 10 famillies live moreover many countrys use this method to adress similar problem
However, it is undeniable that tall building has some disadvantages also such as much as tall building as much as chances of falling down of it thats why government has also pass the rules of 4 floors due to the safety rights however people are still build tall appartment illegaly although, it is undeniable that there is not any alternative option for accomodation as per the data last year [redacted phone] peoples migrated to delhi people cant stop them to move but only make some conveince facilties for them.
In conclusion, weighing up both the sides of the argument i firmly believe that to provide accomodation in large cities like delhi and bengluru constructing tall appartment outweigh its disadvantages. because right noe government dont have the alternative from it currently i believe this is the best option

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You clearly answer the question and maintain a firm position: “I completely agree” and the conclusion both support tall apartment construction. Your main reason—that high-rise buildings accommodate more families on limited urban land—is relevant, and the comparison with your building gives it some support. You also acknowledge safety concerns, so the response considers both sides. However, some points are asserted rather than explained: the example of migration to Delhi and the figure of 100,000 people are not connected in detail to how high-rise housing would meet demand. The safety point is also unclear, particularly the reference to a four-floor rule. Develop these ideas with clearer explanation and specific, relevant evidence.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting the main argument and a counterpoint, and a conclusion that restates your view. The progression from limited space to denser housing is generally understandable. You also use linking expressions such as “First of all,” “However,” and “In conclusion.” At times, though, cohesion becomes mechanical or unclear: the first body paragraph strings several ideas together in one long sentence, and “moreover” introduces a point without showing precisely how it relates to the example. Some references, such as “over there” and “it,” are not fully clear. Use shorter, controlled sentences and make the relationship between each example and claim explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to urban housing, including “limited availability,” “constructing tall buildings,” “congestion,” “accommodation,” and “safety.” This gives you enough topic-related language to communicate your main position. However, spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural combinations are noticeable, including “limmited avalibility,” “conjustion,” “broad” for buildings, and “conveince facilities.” Repetition of “tall building” and “accommodation” also limits the range. Some phrases, such as “the one of the effective solution,” make the intended meaning less immediate. Build a bank of accurate collocations for housing and urban planning, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise phrasing would make your argument easier to follow.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a reason clause beginning “due to” and a contrast introduced by “However.” The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but some sentence structures are difficult to follow because clauses are joined without clear punctuation. There are also errors in agreement, articles, plurals, and verb forms, as in “6 families lives,” “government has also pass,” and “100000 peoples migrated.” The sentence beginning “although” is not punctuated or structured clearly, and the conclusion’s final “because” clause is left awkwardly attached. Practise building complex sentences with one clear main clause, then check subject–verb agreement, tense, and sentence boundaries during revision.
