Student answer (Band 4.5)
It is better way to provide enough houses to the citizens in big cities is to construct tall apartment floors. I totaly agree with this view because it is way to maintain partialty of homes between the people and to give advance facilities to the peoples.
To commence with the reasoms of this view, firstly, the better facilities rather than countryside area, people should preffered to live in apartments because they were like to live at modren place, where the people are more friendly and have advance facilities. However, othe people should not like to live in crowed places are preffer to live at their own buitl homes.
Furthermore, vertical buildings provide water, electricity and other housholds which are usefull for people daily use. In this buildings better arraingmnt for childrens such as parks and playing rooms also.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
Your position is clear: you agree that tall apartment buildings can provide homes, and you mention facilities and shared amenities as reasons. However, the response addresses the question only minimally. The point about “partialty of homes” is unclear, and the preference for countryside living is introduced without explaining how it affects your view of high-rise housing. The facilities paragraph gives examples such as water, electricity and children’s play areas, but does not explain why these make tall blocks the best way to provide enough homes in large cities. The response is also 112 words below the required minimum, leaving the argument and supporting examples substantially underdeveloped. Develop two clear reasons and explain each with a relevant example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some basic organisation: you state your view in the opening, then use separate paragraphs to introduce reasons, with “To commence with” and “Furthermore” signalling progression. This gives the reader a general sense of the response’s direction. However, the overall progression is limited, and the ideas within paragraphs are not consistently connected. For example, the contrast beginning “However, other people…” is not linked back to your agreement, while the final paragraph lists facilities without showing how they support the main claim. Some linking phrases feel mechanical rather than guiding a developed argument. To improve, give each paragraph one central point, explain it, and use clear references or transitions to show how it supports your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “tall apartment floors,” “vertical buildings,” “facilities,” and “parks,” so the subject is generally recognisable. However, the range is basic and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts difficult to understand. “Partialty of homes” does not clearly express your intended idea, and “advance facilities” is not the natural phrase for modern amenities. Spelling errors such as “totaly,” “modren,” and “crowed” also reduce accuracy. Aim to use precise housing vocabulary and check spelling carefully; for instance, describe the benefits as efficient land use or access to shared amenities, then explain what those terms mean in context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including a reason clause with “because” and a contrast introduced by “However.” This shows an effort to connect ideas, but the range remains limited and errors are frequent enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “It is better way … is to construct” has an unclear sentence structure, while “people should preffered to live” uses an incorrect verb form. Articles and agreement also need attention in phrases such as “In this buildings.” Practise building accurate subject–verb sentences first, then add subordinate clauses. Check articles, plural forms and verb patterns, and read each sentence aloud to identify where its structure breaks down.
