Student answer (Band 5.5)
The optimum way to provide enough accommodations in large cities is to construct high-rise apartment buildings. In a world of increasing population requires an increasing space or ideas to accommodate more population on a confined space. but most importanctly it increases the accommodation providing the people with same space but at a different floor or level. Thus i agree with this concept, as observed in different countries and a few cities in USA like New York.
Huge buidings create a cinemetic view and gives opportunities to workers to build and invest their wealth and mind in something that stands talls, build by thousand of ideas, physics. Especially in a city with a natural view of nature, that tend to be confined to a single house owner if a building with multiple apartment not built on it. It increases the beauty of the cities as well
There are few disadvantages as the sun light wouldn't be able to reach those buildlings apartments, surronded by other tall buildings from all sides. Another disadvantage is its tendency to put people at risks of accidents due to tall apartment's balconies.
Inshort there are pros and cons to it but the inevitability to provide enough space to growing population might be accomplished by tall apartment buildings.
From my personal experience of owning a house, and also having an opportunity to live in an apartment building, my comparison would be biased on my personal benefits and disadvantages. Living in an apartment building is little disturbing because there are people living above and below you, but to provide accomodation to increasing population needs a solution, a little sacrifice or ideas to solve the problems caused by high-rise buidlings.
In conclusion, if we talking about homes and not houses, then i believe its a human's love who can make home even on a barren land. The best way to provide enough homes in large cities is through love but for houses, apartment buidlling might work gresat.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You state a clear general position in favour of high-rise apartments, and you acknowledge drawbacks such as reduced sunlight and possible balcony accidents. However, the response only partially develops the central question of whether this is the best way to provide homes. The points about buildings creating a “cinemetic view” and offering investment opportunities do not explain how they increase housing supply, while the sunlight and safety concerns are mentioned without examples or solutions. The final contrast between “homes” and “houses” shifts the argument toward an abstract idea about love rather than answering the planning question. Develop two or three relevant reasons, explain their effects, and support them with a specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has an identifiable introduction, body paragraphs and conclusion, and the reader can follow the broad movement from benefits to disadvantages and then to personal experience. However, progression is uneven: the paragraph about beauty and investment moves between several ideas without showing how they support the main claim, and the personal-experience paragraph repeats the need for a solution rather than extending the argument. Linking phrases such as “Thus,” “Another disadvantage,” and “In conclusion” help signal stages, but some connections are mechanical or unclear. The conclusion’s shift from apartment buildings to “love” also weakens the overall line of reasoning. Give each paragraph one clear purpose and connect each supporting point explicitly to housing provision.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “high-rise apartment buildings,” “accommodation,” “confined,” and “inevitability,” and some choices show an effort to express more than basic ideas. However, the range is limited by repeated or imprecise wording, and several spelling and collocation errors make parts difficult to interpret: “cinemetic view,” “stands talls,” “build by thousand of ideas,” and “barren land.” “Accommodation” is also used awkwardly in phrases such as “accommodation providing the people.” Choose precise terms for housing and urban planning, and check spelling and natural word partnerships. For example, describe buildings as “visually striking” or “constructed using considerable expertise,” rather than relying on unclear phrasing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some longer sentence forms, including a reason clause beginning “as observed in different countries” and a contrast introduced by “but.” However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty or incomplete. For example, “In a world of increasing population requires…” lacks a clear grammatical structure, while “Especially in a city with a natural view of nature, that tend to be confined…” does not form a complete, clear sentence. There are also recurring problems with agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries, as in “it increases the beauty” after a plural subject and the lower-case “but” after a full stop. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with controlled clauses.
