Student answer (Band 5.0)

In last few years development of city area in any country. its developed day by day continuesly every nearby emigrant want to do work in developed cities or want to be settle of entire life so at this time may be its a amazing idea to provide homes in any developed city is to build tall apartments of flats.

If we can see according to development in cities so we have problem there no large or empty sapce in cities because development comes from IT sectors and financial sectors and other industries are include to develope any city so the big space of city is owned by companies and they are not able to provide home because they wants to run their business and the emigrant of these cities wants home to stay to near offices but they can't able to tarvel everyday from their town so they have only option take rooms and flat at the cost of rent .,

The emigrant of city come from nearby town and wants to settle in city for better services then they decide to buy or rent a flat or apartment or only one little room . Exactly i have an example for this actually I lived in city near Delhi NCR and i owned building for rent . So i have total 14 rooms in that building i gave to emigrant they are come from Bihar Bangal and nearby states or counrty in this building not available any apartment and flat available only little room only for two people but they lived in this room 4 or more people because they need home and to save money and this problem face by most emigrant for entire life.

My final conclusion is to build tall apartment and blocks in cities thats the best way to provide home to emigrant because they come from nearby states or town and want to build their life they need home so provide them.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You take a relevant position: you support building tall apartment blocks, and your discussion of limited urban space and demand from people moving to cities addresses the central issue. The example of your rental building near Delhi NCR, where several people share small rooms, gives the response a personal and relevant illustration. However, the argument is only partly developed. You explain why housing is needed, but do not compare tall blocks with other possible approaches or explain in detail why they are the best way to provide enough homes. The conclusion repeats your position rather than drawing together the reasons. Develop the case by explaining how high-rise construction increases housing capacity and acknowledging a limitation or alternative.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has an identifiable introduction, supporting paragraphs, and conclusion, and the ideas generally relate to the topic. The personal example follows the discussion of migrants needing accommodation, which helps the reader see its relevance. However, progression within and between paragraphs is not always clear: the second paragraph moves from urban development to company land use and then to commuting and rent without clearly showing how each point connects. Linking phrases such as “so” and “then” are repeated, while some references, including “this problem,” are not fully precise. Organise each body paragraph around one main reason, use clearer transitions to show cause and effect, and make the relationship between the example and your argument explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “financial sectors,” “rent,” “apartment,” and “emigrant,” so the reader can understand the general subject. However, the range is basic and repetitive, and several word choices or collocations make the meaning less natural. For example, “emigrant” is not the right term for people moving into a city within their own country; “migrant” or “newcomer” would be more suitable. Phrases such as “empty sapce,” “settle of entire life,” and “provide home to emigrant” also show limited control of natural expression, alongside spelling errors such as “continuesly” and “counrty.” Build a wider set of accurate housing and urban-planning expressions, and check spelling and collocations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt some longer sentences to explain causes and give an example, but the range is limited and complex structures are often faulty. The opening, “In last few years development of city area in any country,” is a fragment, and “its developed day by day continuesly” does not form a clear, accurate clause. Errors also occur in verb forms and agreement, as in “they wants to run their business” and “they are come from Bihar.” Articles and sentence boundaries are frequently missing or unclear, making some sentences difficult to follow. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check agreement, tense, articles, and punctuation. Shorter, accurately controlled sentences would make your ideas easier to understand.
