Student answer (Band 4.5)
In recent years, accommodation of people in big cities have great challenges. It is often argued that it seem to be very good to allote homes in big cities rather than construction of new lang apartments blocks.I partly agree with this view, living in apartment may lose privicy and in home peopel feel comfort.
To begin with, I believe that people should live in individual homes found easy to live for example, a small family having low cost and the should save money in the form of electricity, water and securitty bills and feeses. Therefore, they can use that amount in other needs.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You give a partial response to the question by stating, “I partly agree,” and mentioning privacy and comfort as concerns about apartment living. However, the essay does not explain whether tall apartment blocks are an effective way to provide enough homes, nor does it develop a clear comparison with alternatives. The point about individual homes, costs and saving money is relevant but difficult to follow and is not supported with a specific example. The response also falls substantially short of the required 250 words, so there is not enough explanation or evidence to address the task adequately. Develop both sides of your position and explain how each reason answers the question.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is a basic attempt to organise ideas: an opening paragraph gives your position, and “To begin with” introduces a supporting point. This provides some structure, but the response ends after one body paragraph and does not show a clear progression through the argument or a conclusion. Connections between ideas are also unclear; for example, the move from individual homes to lower bills and then to using the money for other needs needs fuller explanation. Punctuation and spacing around sentence boundaries are inconsistent, which makes the text harder to read. Use separate paragraphs for your position, reasons and conclusion, and connect each point explicitly to the question.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “apartment blocks,” “privacy,” “individual homes” and “electricity,” so the reader can identify the general subject. However, the range is limited, and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the response difficult to understand, such as “allote,” “lang apartments blocks,” “peopel” and “feeses.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “accommodation of people in big cities have great challenges” and “people should live in individual homes found easy to live.” Build a more accurate set of housing-related expressions and check spelling carefully. More precise wording would help you explain density, affordability and residents’ quality of life.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response mainly uses simple sentence patterns, with an attempt at a longer sentence beginning “I believe that people should live in individual homes.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make the intended meaning unclear. For example, “accommodation of people in big cities have” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “it seem to be” also needs an appropriate verb form. The sentence about a small family, costs and bills combines several ideas without a clear grammatical structure, and punctuation does not reliably separate sentences. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and build longer sentences around one clear main clause, adding supporting details in a controlled way.
