Student answer (Band 4.5)

The best way to provide enough home in large cities is to bulid tall apartment block. In my knowledge and experience i am not agree this is wrong way to block apartment because its is harmfull for economy and we canot developed our cities.

Firstlyt, when we block tall buliding of apartment than different kinds of problem will coming in future like in future we cannot find in there large cities tall of building apartment because of when we are blocks the apartment. However, we are not making tall building than we cannot get apqartment because of there are limited apartment are aviliable and its became more expensive in there city. these way we are mannage trey to make tall building.

For example, when we create tall buliding apartment in large city its benefity economy and busnisess man becasue of we get more apartment in the chepest price. Nevertheless, we can see beutiful view from tall building apartment.

In addition, business man can invest in tall building of apartment. there are some disadventage also like we can not get peace of environment and rise populaction in large cities. after that come to noise and became pollution.and no one set in there village. it is very improtant to mannage every thing.

Conclusion, In my opinion no need to block tall building apartment. However, we should do mannage this problem and find the solution. we should go developed our city like make tall building of apartment than we get facitity and attract tourist to come our city to live. Moreover, its help to became storng economy.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You give a position against the statement in the opening, but the essay later says tall apartments can provide cheaper homes, attract tourists and strengthen the economy, so your overall view is difficult to identify. The response touches on relevant points, including housing availability, cost, pollution and noise, but several are unclear or contradictory. For example, “when we are blocks the apartment” does not explain the problem, while the claim that tall buildings benefit business is not supported with a specific explanation or example. The conclusion also shifts to recommending tall buildings, rather than resolving your initial disagreement. To address the task more fully, state clearly whether you agree, disagree or partly agree, then develop two consistent reasons with clear supporting examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The response has an introduction, body paragraphs and a conclusion, and it attempts to connect points with phrases such as “For example,” “In addition” and “However.” However, ideas are not arranged in a clear, logical progression, and the reader has difficulty following the argument. The first body paragraph moves between the future availability of apartments, their cost and economic benefits without explaining how these points relate. The second introduces investment, environmental disadvantages and village life in quick succession. Some linking phrases are also used where the relationship between ideas is unclear, and the conclusion does not follow consistently from the opening position. Organise each paragraph around one main reason, explain it in sequence, and use linking expressions only when their meaning fits.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “economy,” “pollution,” “invest” and “attract tourist,” so the reader can recognise the general subject. However, the range is basic and repetitive, and frequent spelling errors and inaccurate word choices make several points difficult to understand. Examples include “bulid,” “harmfull,” “chepest” and “populaction.” Phrases such as “block tall building of apartment” and “peace of environment” are not natural collocations, while “benefity economy” does not express the intended idea clearly. Build a bank of accurate housing and urban-planning terms, and check spelling and word forms. More precise phrases such as “construct high-rise apartment buildings” and “increase housing supply” would help communicate your ideas clearly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “when” and “because,” but control of sentence structure is weak. Errors are frequent and sometimes obscure meaning: “I am not agree” has an incorrect verb form, and “different kinds of problem will coming” combines an incorrect plural with an incorrect verb construction. There are also recurring problems with articles, agreement and sentence boundaries, as in “there are limited apartment are aviliable” and “pollution.and no one set.” Most sentences do not show reliable grammatical control, and the longer attempts often become difficult to follow. Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then add one subordinate clause at a time; check verb forms, singular/plural agreement and punctuation.
