Student answer (Band 5.5)

In many cities the demand of houses is increase that's why build tall apartment blocks is the best solution of this. I agree with it the number of people in large cities are increase large buildings can accomodate many peoples in it.

In one hand, there are many people come in large cities to live from another cities so, the number of house is decrease. To builds tall appartment blocks is the best solution to live in large cities. There are many advantages of this like, people buy appartment easily rather then the house because cost of land is divided in to many families. For Example, if number of houses are decrease in cities then the demand of houses are automatically increase. That's why, houses are very expensive. However, buliding appartment blocks are best solution for this because people can easily efford this.

In other hand, there are also disadvantages of building appartment blocks people are facing many difficulties like parking issue, crowd in public places, traffic issue, etc. If the number of families are increase then crowd is deffinately increase. For Example,If in one road there are more then one appartments building then crowd of people is deffinately increase because in houses there are almost one family but in appartments there are many families that are living.

In conclusion, in large cities building tall appartment block is best solution because in other cities many families migrate in large cities due to jobs and other basics needs. There are also disadvantages of this but management need to improve this. If people face parking issue then management find alternative for this.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you agree that tall apartment blocks are the best solution, and you give relevant reasons, including affordability through shared land costs and the pressure created by migration to cities. You also acknowledge disadvantages such as parking, traffic and crowding, then suggest better management. This addresses the main parts of the question. However, some points are asserted rather than explained: for instance, the link between more apartment buildings and increased crowding needs a clearer explanation, and the proposed management solutions remain general. Develop the comparison with alternatives, such as building on the outskirts or improving transport, and support key claims with a specific example to make the argument more fully developed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for advantages and disadvantages, and a conclusion that restates your view. This gives the reader an overall route through the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow, and linking phrases are repetitive or awkward. For example, “For Example” introduces claims that largely repeat the preceding point, while “In one hand” and “In other hand” do not form accurate transitions. Some references are also unclear, such as “this” in the opening. Organise each body paragraph around one main claim, explain it, and then add a distinct example. Use a wider range of accurate transitions and clearer references to make the connections less mechanical.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “demand,” “apartment blocks,” “parking issue,” “traffic” and “migrate.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning less natural. Examples include “the demand of houses,” “efford this,” and “basics needs”; repeated use of “increase” and “people” also limits precision. Spelling errors such as “appartment,” “deffinately” and “buliding” are noticeable. Build a more varied set of accurate housing and urban-planning expressions, and check spelling and collocations carefully. More precise vocabulary would help distinguish affordability, housing supply and overcrowding.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including conditional structures such as “If the number of families are increase…” and a contrast introduced by “However.” These attempts show some range, but control is inconsistent, and errors can make sentences difficult to process. For example, “the demand of houses is increase” has problems with the verb form, while “the number of people … are increase” combines agreement and verb-form errors. Articles, plurals and sentence boundaries also need attention, as in “building tall appartment blocks are best solution” and the run-on sentence beginning “In other hand, there are also disadvantages.” Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and verb forms, and separate related clauses with appropriate punctuation.
