Student answer (Band 4.5)

It ia argued by many that the good way to provide enough homes inm large cities is to build big apartment blocks. I compeltely agree with statement because of many reasons which I will discuss in upcoming paragrapphs.

The most compelling reason for believing is that if a person who want to buy apartment for their family the very first thing they see is did that home is enough for living with all my family. For instance, a employe who settle in diffrent city for job purpose and they want to buy a apartment so he always looking for big apartment for their family.

Furthermore, in that modern era everybody wants to live in a big house such as with good furniture, big kitchen and a big hall. For example, a person who want to buy big house for their family they also see the facilities for their families.

In conclusion I believe tha bulding ball apartement blocks is the the best way to provide enough homes because it is very helpful for a person who want to live in with their family. Given this situation i recommended that having a big house with good facilities is everyone's dream so i think it is easy to attarct people by made a big apartment blocks for peoples.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5

You state a clear position—“I completely agree”—and keep your response focused on housing in large cities. However, the reasons do not adequately explain why tall apartment blocks are the best way to provide enough homes. The examples instead discuss what individual families want in a home, such as a “big kitchen” and “good furniture,” rather than how high-rise construction increases housing supply or uses limited urban land. The argument is therefore only minimally developed, and the conclusion repeats the preference for large homes without resolving this gap. The response also falls short of the required 250 words. To strengthen it, explain the connection between building upwards and accommodating more residents, then support that point with a relevant example and a developed counterpoint or qualification.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

Your response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “The most compelling reason” and “Furthermore,” and a conclusion. This gives the reader some organisation, and the main position is repeated at the end. However, there is little logical progression between the points: both body paragraphs focus on families wanting large homes, rather than developing distinct reasons for building tall blocks. Some linking is mechanical, and references such as “that home” and “they” are not always clear. The conclusion also introduces a recommendation without connecting it clearly to the earlier argument. Organise each paragraph around one distinct reason, explain how it supports your position, and use clearer references and transitions to show how ideas relate.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use basic vocabulary relevant to housing, including “apartment blocks,” “family,” “facilities,” and “large cities,” so the general topic is understandable. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “big,” “family,” and “want.” Some choices are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “a employe who settle in diffrent city” and “easy to attarct people by made a big apartment blocks.” Spelling errors—including “compeltely,” “paragrapphs,” and “apartement”—also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise housing vocabulary and check spelling carefully. For example, use terms such as “high-rise buildings,” “housing capacity,” and “accommodate residents” to express the task’s central ideas more directly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including a conditional opening with “if a person who want to buy apartment.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors in agreement, articles, and sentence construction make parts difficult to follow. Examples include “everybody wants” followed by “they also see,” “a person who want,” and “a employe who settle”; the final sentence, “I recommended that having a big house … is everyone's dream,” is also awkwardly constructed. Sentence boundaries and punctuation need attention, particularly where several ideas are joined together. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, article use, and complete sentence patterns before adding more complexity. Clearer, shorter sentences would help communicate your ideas reliably.
