Student answer (Band 5.5)
The possible solution to provide maximum accommodation in big cities is to construct tall apartments buildings. I completely agree with this point of view because apartments blocks are designed in a way to accommodate more residents and they use less land per person.
The apartment buildings are build in way that they can occupy many residents.Their construction scheme is based on many floors. And mostly each floor has many apartment units. For instance during my internship in Lahore , I was residing in an apartment building and it had 5 floors and each floor comprised 10 units with single and double bedrooms facilities. So many individuals can accommodate themselves in tall apartment buildings. Instead of building single single mansion on a larger area , buildings like apartments provide cities with a best solution to provides homes to its population.
Apartment buildings are build on a concept of less land per person. So in this way many apartment units can be constructed in one building and many individuals can reside in a small apartment unit. They allow many residents to live in a small place by building upward instead of outward.. That's why in cities we have seen majority of people living in small houses to provide maximum accommodation to the big population in large cities.
In conclusion building tall apartment blocks in big cities is best solution to give accommodation to its residents because their construction plan is made according to need of large population and they allocate less land per person.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction: you completely agree that tall apartment blocks can provide homes in large cities. You give two relevant reasons—many units can fit in one building, and building upwards uses less land—and the Lahore example helps illustrate the first point. This addresses the task, but the reasons are not developed equally: the example gives useful detail about capacity, while the land-use argument is mostly repeated rather than explained with a further consequence or example. The response also treats tall blocks as the best solution without considering any limitation or explaining why other approaches are less effective. Develop each reason more fully and connect the evidence explicitly to your claim to make the argument more convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present supporting reasons, and a conclusion restates your position. The progression from capacity to land use is logical, and phrases such as “For instance” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the argument. However, some linking is mechanical, particularly the repeated openings “The apartment buildings…” and “Apartment buildings…”. The sentence beginning “And mostly each floor…” is also detached from the preceding idea, while the repeated claim about accommodating many residents makes the second body paragraph feel less progressive. Use a wider range of links between cause and result, and make each paragraph add a distinct step to the argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “accommodation,” “residents,” “construction,” “floors,” and “population,” so the main ideas are generally clear. There are also useful attempts at topic-specific phrasing such as “building upward instead of outward.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or repetitive: “apartments buildings” should be “apartment buildings,” “single single mansion” is unclear, and “provide cities with a best solution” is not natural phrasing. “Accommodate” and “provide” recur frequently, limiting variety. Aim for more precise expressions such as “housing capacity,” “high-rise blocks,” and “make efficient use of land,” while checking that nouns and modifiers combine naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including the reason clause “because apartments blocks are designed…” and the contrast “by building upward instead of outward.” The overall meaning remains understandable, but some errors occur in verb forms, articles, agreement, and sentence construction. For example, “are build” should be “are built,” “in way” needs an article, and “a best solution” should be “the best solution.” The sentence “And mostly each floor has many apartment units” is also an awkward fragment-like continuation, and punctuation is inconsistent, including the double full stop after “outward.” Practise accurate passive forms and article use, and combine related short statements into controlled sentences.
