Student answer (Band 5.0)
to construct a tall apartment blocks in cities to provide enough homes in big cities because it cannot cover large surface in less space we give number of shelter to others i agree with this statement and and also give my opinion in this essay
the primary reason of my agreement is that there is no security issues for the resident which are living in the apartments due tho less coverage of surface all people live in a cover surface and the there only a security guard which can make secure it from different troubles on the other side when the homes are far away from each other there is no security like apartment and the is no issue of different things which are for living
the other reason is that the apartment cover a less surface but this less surface can give shelter to number of families but on the other hand the individual homes for different families can cover a large surface which is the main cause of less agriculture because society cover the surface of agricultural land and a number of land become infertile beside it if there is apartments they cover less suface and there is no loss to the agricultural land
in conclusion i agree with this because in apartments there is no security issue only one gurad can secure it or other is that apartmentcover less surface and by this there is no loss of agricultural land but in individual homes they cover large surface but this a large fertile land become infertile so i agree with this statement

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You state a clear overall position—“i agree with this statement”—and give two relevant reasons: apartment blocks use less land and may offer shared security. These points address the question, but the response only partially develops them. The security argument is asserted rather than supported with a specific example, and the claim that agricultural land becomes “infertile” when individual homes are built is not explained or clearly distinguished from land being occupied. The essay also does not consider any limitation of tall blocks or explain why they are the best way to provide homes, rather than simply one useful approach. Develop each reason with a clear explanation and a relevant example, while keeping your position consistent.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the paragraphs broadly group related reasons. Connectors such as “the primary reason,” “the other reason,” and “in conclusion” help signal the structure. However, progression within paragraphs is difficult to follow because several ideas are joined together without clear sentence boundaries, and linking phrases such as “on the other side” and “but on the other hand” are repetitive or awkwardly used. References such as “it” and “this” are sometimes unclear, particularly in the discussion of land and security. Use shorter, clearly separated sentences, make each paragraph develop one main point, and use linking expressions only where they show a precise relationship.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “apartment blocks,” “shelter,” “security guard,” and “agricultural land,” so the main topic is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “surface,” “cover,” and “large.” Some choices are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “cover a less surface,” “make secure it,” and “a number of land become infertile”; these make parts of the argument harder to interpret. Spelling and word formation also need attention, for example “su face”/“suface” and “gurad.” Build a wider set of accurate collocations for housing, land use and public safety, and check spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
There are attempts to express reasons and contrast, but sentence structures are mostly simple or joined into long, faulty sentences. Errors in articles, agreement and sentence construction occur frequently: “to construct a tall apartment blocks” has an article–plural mismatch, while “there is no security issues” has incorrect agreement. The opening is a fragment, and the final sentence combines several claims without clear punctuation. These errors sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, then add one subordinate clause at a time—for example, “Apartment blocks use less land, so more families can live in the same area.” Check articles, singular/plural forms and punctuation during revision.
