Student answer (Band 5.5)
Residential homes is one of the crucial issues in modren world particularly in bid cities. This matter is widely argued and it is thought that the best method of providing homes in big cities is to build tall buildings with apartments. I strongely supports this idea of providing homes to individuals.
One of the vital benefits of high apartment blocks is that in a small amount of land more people can live. Usually tall buildings has multiples floors but land is used only for one floor and rest are built on the top of last. For instance, for 10 families to live almost 10 acres are required if every homes is built in one acre whereas if 20 apartments blocks are built in one acre it can provide space to live for 20 families with short use of land. Consequently, more citizens can live and less area is occupied.
Apartments are more protected residential places as compared to single homes. In high buildings with apartments block, usually everything is in proper form like security is provided to the whole socitey and everything is managed properly. This is examplified as a door guard is always present on the entrance of the apartment blocks and everyone who enters is checked properly. Ultimately, apartment blocks are more protected and suitable place for residential homes.
To wrap up,tall apartment blocks consume less land and provide residence to more people as compared to open localties and these are more safe resident homes.I believe it remains the most practical way to provide enough homes in large cities.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction—“I strongly support” building tall apartment blocks—and is maintained in the conclusion. You give relevant reasons: apartments can house more people on less land, and shared security may make them safer. The example comparing homes on separate acres with apartments on one acre helps illustrate the first point. However, the second reason is less fully developed: the presence of a door guard is asserted as evidence of greater safety, but there is little explanation or qualification, and the response does not consider any limitations of this approach. Develop each reason with more precise support and explain why it makes high-rise construction the best solution for large cities.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a concluding summary. The progression from land efficiency to security is easy to follow, and linking expressions such as “For instance,” “Consequently,” and “To wrap up” help signal relationships between ideas. Cohesion is sometimes mechanical, however, because several sentences rely on formulaic transitions such as “Ultimately” and “Consequently.” Some references are also unclear: “these” in the conclusion could refer to apartment blocks or homes, while “open localties” is not clearly connected to the earlier comparison. Use more precise referencing and connect explanations directly to the claims rather than relying on repeated signposting.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to housing and urban development, including “apartment blocks,” “land,” “security,” and “residential.” There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “the most practical way” and “providing homes.” However, the range is limited and some word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which makes parts of the response less natural. Examples include “Residential homes is,” “short use of land,” and “safe resident homes”; spelling errors such as “modren,” “strongely,” and “socitey” are also noticeable. Build a more accurate set of topic-specific expressions and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you explain the benefits without repeating general terms such as “homes” and “people.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional comparison beginning “if every homes is built” and a relative clause in “everything … that enters is checked.” The main ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “Residential homes is” has subject–verb disagreement, “tall buildings has” uses the wrong verb form, and “if every homes is built” has errors in number and agreement. There are also problems with articles and sentence boundaries, as in “on the entrance” and the run-together punctuation in “top of last. For instance.” Aim for more consistent control of agreement, singular and plural forms, articles, and punctuation, while retaining a mix of sentence structures.
