Student answer (Band 4.5)

the Best way to deliver enough home in large cities is to build tall apartment blocks. I agree with this statement because apartment blocks are cheap and relable to every small family in country.

In many countries, now days peoples are moving towards cities for better life and easy to approvch every sector nearby. mostly job workers who cames from theair village to work in citie sides are demanding small apartments in main cities. their salary are not to much significant that they can buy a full house. forexample in pakistan peshawar nowdays a plethora of apartment are developing because of small family and job sector peoples. in apartments there are so much good point that many induviles likes it , one bed room , two bed room , lifts , parking and 24 hours security is available.

moving to homes, there are some extend of benifits. Building tall apartment in resedentail cities where homes are made in proper plan giving that place to apartment blocks will not be good for some reasons. first reason the veiwe of the cities will not lock good secondly the land price the cities will rise and it will be so hard to build home in cities. forexample, in newyork their are a lot of apartments around the cities. in which the normal person can built his own house due to high land price and taxes.

in conclusion, the best way to delive enough home in large cities is to build tall apartment. in which i agree with this statement becuase of easy life and cheap to live.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You state a clear position in the introduction and conclusion: you agree that tall apartment blocks can provide homes, and you give relevant reasons such as affordability, smaller households and access to jobs. The Peshawar example also helps connect the argument to a real setting. However, the discussion is only partially developed: the point about city views and rising land prices is difficult to follow and does not clearly explain why apartment blocks are not the best solution. The response also contains 246 words, so it is four words below the required minimum; the 17 words copied from the task prompt are not counted. Develop each reason with clearer explanation and support, and ensure the response meets the minimum length.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the broad progression from reasons in favour to concerns about apartment construction is identifiable. Basic linking phrases such as “In conclusion” and “first reason” help signal the structure. However, connections between ideas are often unclear, particularly in the paragraph beginning “moving to homes,” where the shift from benefits to objections is abrupt and the relationship between land prices and building apartments is confusing. Several sentences also run together, and references such as “their salary” and “in which” are not always clear. Use one main idea per paragraph, make the contrast explicit, and connect examples directly to the point they support.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some vocabulary relevant to housing and urban life, including “apartment blocks,” “salary,” “land price,” “parking” and “security.” These terms allow the reader to recognise the topic and the main ideas. However, the range is basic and several word choices or collocations make meaning difficult to understand, such as “deliver enough home,” “easy to approvch every sector” and “the view of the cities will not lock good.” Spelling errors, including “relable,” “benifits” and “resedentail,” are also frequent and reduce clarity. Build a more accurate set of phrases for housing supply, affordability and urban planning, and check spelling and collocations carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, and the overall position can usually be understood. However, grammatical control is weak: errors are frequent and sometimes make relationships between ideas unclear. For example, “their salary are not to much significant that they can buy a full house” has problems with agreement and sentence construction, while “one bed room, two bed room, lifts, parking and 24 hours security is available” does not maintain agreement between the list and the verb. Articles, plurals, verb forms and punctuation also need attention. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with controlled clauses using “because,” “although” and “which.”
