Student answer (Band 5.5)

The tall builiding with less psace is probably the best way to provide more homes in the big and mobile cities, I agree to the statement while it has significant disadvanatges of high and tall buildings.

on one hand, Big cities has lot of shops, grocery stores and most of the spaces are occupied by the malls, factories, industries and parks leaving very less space for the resident people. tall building can provide more homes and the apartments to the people with affordable prices as to build a home in a big city may be more expensive and challenging at the same time. The apartments are build by the numerous companies with good reputation and with teh standards. so one who want to live in a city and hesitate to build a house due to the labor work and long hours of attentation. Apartments can be a suitable option for them. Also apartments have variety of services including laundry, cooking, chefs and hotels inside the apartment. one who is very busy with the mobile life can easily get access to those things without any much hardwork. AS big cities have much job opporunites as well as better career growth, so more companies opened in big cities make less psace for residents.

on the other hand, tall buildings can use less space to build a home which sometimes feel less for the kids and a family having 4 to 5 kids. also with tall building , there is no connections with the neigbours. Tall buildings are also have some more disadvanatges like if lift is not operating and out of work, one may has to struggle to get to their cars or to the job with a lot of struggle. if some issue happen in the tall building its very difficult to safe all people's lives at a moment.

in conculsion tall building can take less space and give more homes for the residents while also make some major issues

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a clear overall position by saying you agree that tall buildings are an effective way to provide homes, while acknowledging disadvantages. The response stays focused on the question and offers relevant points about limited urban land, affordability, and access to services, as well as concerns about family space, neighbourly contact, lift failures, and emergencies. However, several points are asserted rather than explained. For example, the claim that apartments offer “laundry, cooking, chefs and hotels” is not clearly connected to providing enough homes, and the disadvantages are listed without showing how they affect the overall judgement. Develop fewer points with specific explanations or examples, and make the conclusion state more precisely why the benefits outweigh the drawbacks.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs signalled by “on one hand” and “on the other hand,” and a conclusion. This helps the reader identify your main position and the shift to disadvantages. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven: the first paragraph moves from land use to affordability, building companies, services, and employment without clearly linking each point to the central argument. Some linking phrases are repetitive or awkward, and the final sentence merely repeats that tall buildings provide homes while causing issues. Group related ideas, use clearer references between sentences, and make each paragraph develop one main point before moving to the next.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “apartments,” “residents,” “career growth,” and “neighbours,” so the reader can understand the general subject. However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to read, such as “builiding,” “psace,” “disadvanatges,” and “opporunites.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, including “big and mobile cities,” “long hours of attentation,” and “safe all people's lives.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms for urban housing, such as “housing demand,” “high-density development,” and “emergency evacuation,” would help express your ideas more clearly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “while,” “as,” and “if.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some ideas harder to follow. Examples include “Big cities has,” “the apartments are build,” “one who want,” and “Tall buildings are also have.” There are also problems with articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries, as in “with tall building” and the lower-case starts after full stops. Practise subject–verb agreement, past participles, and complete clause structure. For example, write “Big cities have many shops” and “If a lift stops working, residents may struggle to reach their homes.”
