Student answer (Band 5.0)
Well! I completely agree with tall building in large cities in the form of apartments. They are most constructed to use less space and make more homes for people wanting to live. Mostly in large cities families are not the extended one everyone living with very small and single lineage. That's why public dont need much big homes to settle down. Also to manage living standards they live in apartments so they don't have to pay more for their houses. This thing not only benifits the public but also the economy of cities.
People mostly living in developed cities are there for jobs or for education so they are trying to live alone and for that an apartments in enough. Usually living blocks are of different sizes and standardssome are sing room flats and some are double room. Almost all facilities are given every basic necesities are provided.
The best example that I would like to share is the city of U.A.E called Dubai. It is one of the best structured city. Everything their is beautifully managed. Major population of this city lives in suites and flats. During my visits to Dubai i saw the city is very aligned also everything managed properly the flats were completly facilitated. I personally like to live is less space.
People living in apartments enjoy more establishment like enhanced security better living style and low cost living wirh less maintainence.
Actually tall buildings are built to occupy less space and manage more population. Also providing less livng cost to thoes who can't affoard .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear from the opening: you completely agree that tall apartment buildings can provide homes in large cities. You give relevant reasons, including using less land, lower housing costs, and security, and Dubai is a suitable example. However, the response addresses the issue only partially because several claims are asserted rather than explained. For instance, the point that city residents are often living alone or seeking work and education could be linked more directly to why high-rise housing is the best solution. The Dubai example describes your impressions but gives little specific evidence about how tall blocks meet housing demand. Develop each reason with a clearer explanation or concrete example, and briefly acknowledge a limitation or alternative to make the argument more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has a basic sequence: it states your view, gives reasons, introduces Dubai as an example, and ends by restating benefits. This gives the reader some sense of organisation. However, progression between ideas is not consistently clear, and paragraphing does not always separate distinct points. The first paragraph combines family size, housing costs, and economic benefits, while the second moves from employment and education to apartment facilities without a clear link. Connectors such as “Also” and “Actually” are used, but they do not always show the precise relationship between claims. Use a clearer paragraph plan—one paragraph for space and affordability, another for the example—and use referencing and transitions to show how each point supports your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “apartments,” “population,” “facilities,” “security,” and “maintenance,” so the main subject is generally understandable. There are also attempts at more specific expressions such as “living standards” and “extended” families. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes meaning less clear: “single lineage” does not express the intended idea, and “more establishment” is unsuitable for describing benefits. Spelling errors such as “benifits,” “necesities,” and “affoard” are noticeable. Build a more precise set of housing and urban-planning terms, check spelling carefully, and choose natural collocations such as “reduce housing costs” and “make efficient use of land.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including a reason introduced by “That’s why” and a sentence beginning “People mostly living in developed cities…”. This shows some effort to connect ideas, but the range of structures remains limited and complex attempts are often faulty. Examples include “They are most constructed,” “families are not the extended one,” and “an apartments in enough,” where verb forms, agreement, articles, or sentence structure are not controlled. Several sentences also run together, as in “Usually living blocks are of different sizes and standardssome are sing room flats…”. These errors can make the reader pause to interpret your meaning. Practise complete sentence boundaries and check subject–verb agreement, articles, and plural forms when editing.
