Student answer (Band 5.0)
The argument that to provide enough homes in a urban cities is to build tall apartment blocks.
I am inclined to believe that, multiple storie buildings are quite more proper usage of space and better structure to provide enough homes in a large cities beacuse in urban areas its difficults to having more land to build enough homes.
In my opinion multiple floors apartment is a better solution to fulfill the demand in urban cities.
Furthermore, tall buildings with proper archetcture provides much better space apartments.
In cities land is expensive then rular areas so people prefer apartments block beacause of its affordability and relaibilty.in addition to that in cities taller building is regulated by government
authorities which make proper check and balance on development.
For instance i also live in capital of my country where i live in a rental apartment which is is more reasonable at price also saround by many other apartments give me much better sense of safety and i get chance to meet wide range of diffrent ethinicity.
on the other hand seprate homes are more suitable and every one want to have one in cities but it comes with havey cost and resposibilties. Its not only the financial part which is hard, the government approval and documentation is also the challenging phase.Due to out growing population in cities it is challenging for government to provides residency for them, there for
housing socities prefers tall buildings in order to full fill teh demand.
In conclusion ,to build tall building with many apartments is more suitable to provide enough homes in urban cities, as well as it provide better affordability.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you support tall apartment blocks as a practical way to meet housing demand in cities. You give relevant reasons, including limited urban land, high land costs, affordability, and population growth, and your personal example of renting in the capital helps make the argument concrete. You also acknowledge that separate homes may be desirable but costly, so the response addresses both sides of the question. Some points, however, are less fully developed: the claim that tall buildings offer better safety and the reference to government checks are mentioned without explaining how these features support your main argument. Develop each reason with a clearer explanation or example to make the case more convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, supporting points, a counterpoint, and a conclusion. Paragraphing helps distinguish the main argument from the discussion of separate homes, and connectors such as “Furthermore,” “For instance,” and “on the other hand” signal relationships between ideas. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because several points are crowded together, and some links are unclear. For example, the move from affordability to government regulation is abrupt, while the personal example combines price, safety, and meeting people without clearly connecting each detail to the argument. Use one main idea per paragraph, order supporting details logically, and make references and transitions more precise.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “apartment blocks,” “urban areas,” “affordability,” “population,” and “government authorities.” These choices show that you can discuss housing and city development, and the meaning is generally recoverable. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make the writing less natural, such as “proper usage of space,” “better structure,” and “fulfill the demand.” Spelling errors, including “archetcture,” “relaibilty,” and “diffrent,” also reduce clarity and control. Build a more precise set of housing-related expressions and check spelling carefully; for example, use “make efficient use of space” and “meet housing demand.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with reasons and contrast, such as the sentence beginning “In cities land is expensive” and the discussion of the costs of separate homes. This gives the response some structural variety, and the main position can usually be understood. However, errors in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and verb forms recur. Examples include “in a urban cities,” “buildings … provides,” and “it is difficults to having more land.” Some sentences also run together or lack clear punctuation, particularly around “reliability.in addition” and the personal example. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and article use, and divide long sentences into complete, clearly punctuated units.
