Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is argued that the better way to give enough houses in big cities is to create tall apartment blocks. High rising buildings are new modern way to provide shelter to citizens with upgraded facilities. I partially agree with this statement. In the following essay I will discuss both perspective.
Apartment buildings are the new trending way to live with modern lifestyle, many investors and builders are investing in this idea. Firstly you get your home with proper facilities like parking, modern infrastructure, with good security and with limited amount of value you can own your house. Then these building blocks are designed in such way that you can easily maintain them and with in the city you can live a modern lifestyle and enjoy the facilities around the area like, if a family is shift to urban area from rural they can live in apartment and live the good standard of life within limited amount of money by owning it or take it on rent.
Secondly there are some issues while living in these buildings are parking and then these apartments are designed in such way that only with two or three bedrooms so there will be issue of space. Secondly there are no such as privacy of families because the apartments are very close to each other. Then these apartments take years to stand and cause noise pollution due to use of heavy machinery.
To conclude i will say that apartent blocks are the place where someone can easliy shift in large cities but it can also disturb your privacy.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear, though qualified, position by saying, “I partially agree,” and you discuss both advantages and disadvantages of tall apartment blocks. Relevant points include access to facilities and security, affordability for people moving from rural areas, and concerns about privacy and construction noise. However, the response does not fully explain whether high-rise construction is the best way to provide enough homes, and several points are asserted rather than supported. For example, the claim that apartments offer “limited amount of value” is unclear, while the discussion of parking and bedroom numbers needs explanation. Develop fewer points with specific reasoning or an example, and make your degree of agreement explicit in the conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph presenting benefits, a paragraph on drawbacks, and a conclusion. Sequencing words such as “Firstly” and “Secondly” help signal the points. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because several ideas are joined in long sentences, and the second body paragraph repeats “Secondly” without a clear relationship between its points. The introduction promises to discuss “both perspective,” but the argument is not clearly organised around a consistent comparison of benefits and limitations. Use one main idea per paragraph, connect each explanation directly to that idea, and use referencing and linking phrases more precisely to make the line of argument easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “apartment blocks,” “security,” “privacy,” and “noise pollution,” so the reader can understand the general subject. There are also attempts at less common expressions such as “modern infrastructure” and “urban area.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, including “high rising buildings,” “limited amount of value,” and “the new trending way.” Spelling errors such as “apartent” and “easliy” also reduce accuracy. Aim for more precise housing and urban-planning vocabulary, and check whether phrases sound natural in context. For instance, distinguish between affordable housing, available living space, and the cost of purchasing or renting a home.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a conditional example about a family moving from a rural area to a city. However, complex sentences are often difficult to control, and frequent errors affect clarity. Examples include “In the following essay I will discuss both perspective,” “if a family is shift,” and “there are no such as privacy.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention: the opening of the benefits paragraph joins two complete ideas with a comma, while the long sentence beginning “Then these building blocks” contains several clauses without clear control. Practise accurate subject–verb forms, articles, plurals, and clause construction, and divide long sentences into shorter units. This will make your ideas easier to understand.
