Student answer (Band 5.5)
In past few years the majority of the world population is moving towards a new trend that to live in apartments in high buildings. Some people thought that its a better way of residency but some are against to this opinion and suggest that istead of living in hightech buildings we must follow the way of our forefathers. I completely agree with the notion that for residence we must choose the advance techniques because its provide us a sence of safety and a moderate life style.
To begin with safety I want to include that in past decades people live in the form of tribes and built forts for them to survive but they were not save from the wilde animals and also they are not safe from burglars. But nowadays its very difficult for robbers to damage or threaten any family because there security cameras and also gaurds are deployed on the enterance of buildings which is far better to live rather than follow the old trends. For example one of my uncle is living new york and he told me about an insidence happen there and he said that the group of robbers had caught with in a few hours due to strong security.
Furthermore, in sence of moderate life style the advance apartments are the best option to choose. In recent years people had noticed globally that the death rate is under control due the quick heathcare servives and also there is huge in privacy of people. If it would compare with the past we have come to know that there is less privacy due to which realtives and neighbours have easyhand to visit each other but now mostly people like lonliness and don,t like to show their style of living to others. Such as; we know that its an era of social media due to which every one likes a moderate life style and this life style is possible when we live in tall buildings.
In conclusion, some people like the way that their parents used to live But majority is found of living in adavnce apartments and I also agree with that the better way of living is live in large cities .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
Your position is clear in the introduction and conclusion: you agree that tall apartments are preferable. You also give two supporting points—security and a more private lifestyle—and include an example about your uncle in New York. However, the response only partially addresses the specific question of whether tall apartment blocks are the best way to provide enough homes in large cities. Much of the discussion compares modern living with life in the past, and the claims about healthcare, privacy and social media are not clearly connected to increasing housing supply. Develop the central argument by explaining how high-rise construction accommodates more residents on limited urban land, and consider a limitation or alternative before concluding why it is the best approach.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signposted with “To begin with” and “Furthermore,” and a conclusion. This makes the main direction easy to follow. However, progression within the paragraphs is sometimes unclear because several ideas are joined without showing their relationship. For instance, the second body paragraph moves from healthcare to privacy, then to social media, without explaining how these points support the housing argument. Some linking is also mechanical, and references such as “this life style” do not always make the intended connection clear. Organise each body paragraph around one reason directly related to housing capacity, then explain and illustrate that reason in a logical sequence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “apartments,” “security cameras,” “privacy,” and “social media,” and you attempt less common expressions such as “moderate life style.” However, the range is limited by repeated wording and noticeable errors in spelling, word form and collocation. Examples include “advance techniques,” “hightech buildings,” “heathcare servives,” and “easyhand,” which make parts of the message difficult to interpret. Some phrases, such as “huge in privacy,” do not express a clear meaning. Choose precise vocabulary for urban housing and explain the benefits directly; checking spelling and whether words naturally combine will make your ideas clearer and more convincing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “because” and “which,” but complex structures are often faulty and errors recur across the response. For example, “the majority of the world population is moving” has an awkward tense construction, while “people live in the form of tribes and built forts” shifts tense and does not maintain agreement. In “If it would compare with the past,” the conditional structure is incomplete, and several sentences lack clear grammatical connections between clauses. Articles, verb forms and punctuation also need more consistent control. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly formed supporting clause, then check tense consistency and subject–verb agreement.
