Student answer (Band 5.5)
The growing influence of on our lives has sparked various debates. The issue is particularly significant because of its impact on people affecting both individuals and communities. In this essay, i am agree with this statement upto larger extend and the reason behind it will be disscuss in the upcomming paragraphs.
To commence with, the first and foremost reason is usually large cities have very limited space for building something or for any work which require free land. So tall building apartments requires less space as compair to normal houses and another benfit is that it will provide lot of houses in one building so that's why it is very beneficial for providing enough homes to people in cities.
Moving further, another predominant reason is that it will be less expensive as compair to building houses for people. because building cost of house is more than an apartemnt room and less land will be used which even help in controling the deforestation.
In conclusion, building tall apartment blocks have lot of advanatges which should be considered with the greater significant. Moving forward it is important to optimize the key benfits of talk apartment blocks to ensure the positive outcomes for socieity as a whole.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
Your position is broadly clear: you agree that tall apartment blocks can help provide homes, and you give relevant reasons about limited land, housing capacity and cost. However, the response addresses the task only partially because these points are asserted rather than explained or supported with examples. For instance, you say apartments use less space and are less expensive, but do not show how this works in a large city or consider any limitations of high-rise housing. The introduction also contains an incomplete opening phrase, “The growing influence of on our lives,” which does not establish the topic clearly. The response is 46 words below the required minimum, leaving little room to develop your argument. Explain each reason and add a relevant example to make your position more convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall arrangement: an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “To commence with” and “Moving further,” and a conclusion. This makes the main line of argument reasonably easy to follow. However, progression within the paragraphs is limited, as each reason is stated briefly without further explanation or an example. Some linking phrases feel mechanical, and the conclusion repeats the general benefits rather than drawing together the argument. The opening sentence is also unclear, which weakens the transition into your position. To improve, organise each body paragraph around one main point, then explain it and illustrate it before moving to the next idea. Use linking expressions only where they clarify the relationship between ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “limited space,” “tall building apartments,” “deforestation” and “positive outcomes.” This gives you a basic range for discussing urban housing. However, vocabulary is limited and several noticeable spelling, word-form and collocation errors make parts of the response less clear or natural. Examples include “compair,” “benfit,” “apartemnt,” “advantatges” and “talk apartment blocks.” Phrases such as “provide lot of houses” and “with the greater significant” are also awkward. Aim to learn accurate collocations for this topic, such as “accommodate more residents” and “reduce pressure on land,” and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you express your ideas without relying on repeated general terms such as “beneficial” and “reason.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a sentence beginning “because building cost of house is more than an apartemnt room,” but control is inconsistent. Errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles and verb forms occur frequently enough to affect clarity. For example, “i am agree” should be “I agree,” and “building tall apartment blocks have” should be “building tall apartment blocks has” or “tall apartment blocks have.” The opening phrase “The growing influence of on our lives” is incomplete, while “which even help” lacks clear agreement with its subject. Capitalisation and punctuation also need attention, particularly the lowercase “i” and sentence openings after full stops. Practise accurate basic clauses before adding complex structures, and proofread each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
