Student answer (Band 5.0)

Building huge appartment blocks is better way to provide enough houses for citizens in urban areas.I completely agree with this statement and this essay will be explaining the several reasons why i agree this statement.

Apartment blocks contains less property rather than making homes for every citiznes in urban cities. Those extra property can be fulfill in different areas like in making schools, healthcares and parkings. Nowadays, It is more common to make appartments in urban areas but still needs to extend those number of huge buildings. For instance, In my home town, many of the citizens were facing problems due to not having enough property for having houses but after making huge appartment citizens are not facing several problems.

Nowadays, Every citizens have enough property and government dont have essential property for development. Government can develop new areas like parks for sitting and roaming, health care centres and many other areas after having enough lands. People can save their finance because while making homes we need to buy land which costs for in this generation. So, citizens can easily live in huge appartments with different kind of facilities provided. For example, My uncle was facing many problems while making home because of the prices of lands nearby so his family decided to live in a appartment and now he is glad because of his decision.

In the conclusion, every citizens should learn and live in huge appartment blocks because we can add several things in our areas which makes our areas developed.Through this idea every citizens property can be used in making different things.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear from the opening: “I completely agree,” and the response stays focused on housing in large cities. You give relevant reasons, including using less land for apartments and leaving space for parks and health centres, and you support these with examples about your hometown and uncle. However, the ideas are only partly developed. The claim that apartment blocks free land for public facilities needs a clearer explanation of how this would happen, and the examples are personal but lack specific detail. The conclusion repeats the main point rather than drawing the reasons together. Develop each main idea with a fuller explanation and show more directly why tall blocks are the best solution compared with alternatives such as expanding outward.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The paragraphs generally group related points: the first discusses land use and the hometown example, while the second focuses on costs and your uncle’s experience. However, progression within and between paragraphs is not always clear. “Nowadays” is repeated to begin both body paragraphs, and links such as “So” and “For instance” sometimes connect ideas mechanically rather than showing their precise relationship. Some references are also unclear, as in “those number of huge buildings” and “Through this idea.” Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main reason, vary linking expressions, and make pronouns and references explicit so the reader can follow the argument more smoothly.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “urban areas,” “government,” “health care centres,” “development” and “prices of lands,” so the general subject is understandable. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “huge apartment blocks,” “citizens” and “property.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-choice problems, such as “appartment,” “citiznes,” “healthcares” and “parking” used as “parkings.” Some combinations are unnatural or imprecise: “extra property can be fulfill” and “save their finance” do not express your intended meaning clearly. Build a wider set of accurate housing and urban-planning terms, and check spelling and collocations so your ideas are easier to understand.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “because” and “while,” and the overall meaning can usually be followed. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence structure, agreement, articles and verb forms. For example, “Apartment blocks contains” has a subject–verb agreement error, while “every citizens have” repeats this problem. In “those extra property can be fulfill,” the verb construction is faulty; “his family decided to live in a appartment” also has an article error. Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, particularly after full stops. Practise building accurate complex sentences and check each sentence for subject–verb agreement, singular and plural forms, articles, and complete verb patterns.
