Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0
You express a relevant preference for apartment living and give reasons, including affordability, shared facilities such as swimming pools and gyms, and reduced maintenance. However, the response does not clearly answer the central question: whether building tall apartment blocks is the best way to provide enough homes in large cities. It focuses mainly on the advantages of living in apartments, without comparing this approach with alternatives or explaining how high-rise construction increases housing supply. Your position is also difficult to identify from the opening sentence. The response is substantially below the required minimum length, so the argument remains very limited and unsupported. To improve, state your degree of agreement directly, develop several reasons with examples, and address possible drawbacks or alternatives.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is a basic sequence of related points: you introduce apartment living, then mention affordability and facilities, followed by lower maintenance. The linking words “for example” and “moreover” show an attempt to connect and extend ideas. However, the response is presented as one paragraph, and the progression from the claim about building apartments to the benefits of living in them is not clearly explained. Some connections are also difficult to follow, particularly “moreover these are living in apartment provides less management requirement.” Use separate paragraphs for your position, supporting reasons, and conclusion. Make each sentence develop one clear point, and use referencing and linking phrases only where their relationship between ideas is clear.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You attempt vocabulary relevant to housing and urban life, including “affordable,” “facilities,” “construction,” and “management requirement,” and the reader can generally recognise the topic. There are also attempts to express more specific ideas, such as shared gyms and swimming pools. However, frequent spelling errors and inaccurate or unnatural word choices reduce clarity: examples include “Nowdays,” “affortabale,” “effeicent,” and “most demanding need of life.” Some phrases are repetitive, especially “apartment” and “facilities,” and “building a highest apartment” does not clearly convey the intended meaning. Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for housing, such as “high-rise apartment blocks,” “housing demand,” and “maintenance costs.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt to connect ideas in longer sentences, for example by using “because” and “which,” and you include some simple sentence patterns that communicate the general topic. However, control of sentence structure and basic grammar is inconsistent. In “Building a highest apartment in cities are…,” the article, noun phrase, and subject–verb agreement are problematic; “apartment are” also lacks agreement in “because apartment are affordable.” The clause beginning “moreover these are living…” is difficult to parse, and punctuation spacing is inconsistent. Practise forming clear subject–verb sentences, using articles and plural nouns accurately, and separating clauses with appropriate punctuation. Aim for a mix of accurate simple sentences and carefully constructed complex ones.
