Student answer (Band 4.5)

It is often argued that the best way to provide enough homees in large cities is to build tall apartment blocks. I believed that provide homes is best option. because home are more comfortable as compared to apartments.

firstly, home is designed by people and they were more comfortable in homes. moreover, in homes are provide more space rather than the apartments. for example, apartments are so narrow and most of the apartments has provide only 1BHK. moreover, they provide less space and in houses we can design our house according to oue own preferences and we deciding how many rooms and washroom it should have and we also get an open lawn area within our home.

nevertheless, during appartments most of the builders can fraud the customers. for example, most of the dealers can deal with customers to the 4BHK appartment. after, confirm the deal they take the large amount of payment and after that they provide only 1BHK appartment after this customer has undergone the stress. so, homer are more better than the apartments and we can build our house on our own private land.

in conclusion, I believe that people can build our private homes. because it is more better than the apartments. since, they provide more space and. speacially, we can design our house according to our own preferences and we also get an open lawn area within our home as compared to apartments.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You give a clear preference for private houses, supported by points about space, personal design choices and a lawn. However, the response only minimally addresses the actual question: it asks whether tall apartment blocks are the best way to provide enough homes in large cities, but your discussion mainly compares houses with apartments and does not explain how either option meets urban housing demand. The claim about builders misleading buyers is also not clearly connected to the question. The response contains 229 words, so it is 21 words below the 250-word minimum; the nine words copied from the prompt are not counted. To strengthen the answer, state your position directly on high-rise construction and develop relevant reasons, such as land use, affordability or population density, with a specific example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is a basic attempt to organise the response with an opening, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and markers such as “firstly,” “nevertheless” and “in conclusion” show how you intend to connect points. However, the ideas are not arranged coherently around the question, and the progression is difficult to follow: the discussion moves from space in houses to alleged apartment fraud without explaining the relationship between these points or their relevance to providing enough city homes. Several connectors are used mechanically or inaccurately, including “nevertheless” where the contrast is unclear and “because” beginning a fragment. Improve coherence by giving each paragraph one relevant reason, explaining it in sequence, and using linking words only when their logical relationship is clear.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

Your vocabulary is basic and repetitive, with frequent reliance on “home,” “apartments,” “more space” and “comfortable.” Some wording communicates the intended ideas, such as “according to our own preferences” and “open lawn area,” but spelling and word-choice errors sometimes strain the reader’s understanding: “homees,” “appartment,” “homer” and “oue” are examples. Phrases such as “most of the apartments has provide” also show inaccurate word combinations, while “more better” is not an appropriate comparative form. Build a wider range of topic vocabulary for urban housing and use precise terms consistently. Proofreading spelling and checking common collocations would make your meaning clearer and more natural.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response relies mainly on simple sentence patterns, with limited control of longer structures. Frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence boundaries sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “I believed that provide homes is best option” lacks a clear grammatical structure, and “most of the apartments has provide only 1BHK” has errors in agreement and verb form. The final paragraph also contains fragments, including “because it is more better than the apartments” and “since, they provide more space and.” Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, particularly after full stops. Practise forming complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check agreement and punctuation before submitting.
