Student answer (Band 5.0)

Now a days most of people are moveing towards apartments they start prefering to liveing in buildings then homes. because they are many reasons the places form where they are moveing didn't have much facilities such as hospitals, educational instutions, resturants etc. also one major problem is that as economy is increaseing day by day so its effecting in rates of propety. people are can't afford house so they preffer to live in apartmants. and as popullation is increaseing day by day so its best wasy to manage poeplr by makeing buldings and by makeing apartmsnts evan it is more suitable for pocket.

I personaly agree with this point of view because there is no issue to live in city full of facilities. We can live more in luxury way eva you have any kind of issue at mid night you don't have to worry. apartments are every reasonable for an middle class people. they gives you security parking and other than this they are suatiable to aour pocket.

The major disadvantage is that it is not for live time even we have to pay rental apartnments. We didn't have garden facilitys over there by the time buildings get old and you hace to move. also its effect popullation. it gets tirckey to manage huge popullation is single city.

Governmnet should facilitate people by makeing an proper plan to make such important develponments in such kind of areas. The will also help them to manage poppulation. new developenmnts live hospitals educational instutions live great schools, univisities, government

departnmnets, societs, roads aparnmsnts and much more. these tecinal things will make big change and also stable eccnomy will effect prices and will be suitable for people to buy such propeties. Makeing buildings or appartnments is not a problem after makeing them how to manage them and makeings easy for people to avale them is issue.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a relevant response and state a clear position in “I personally agree,” while offering reasons such as affordability, access to city facilities and the need to accommodate a growing population. You also acknowledge drawbacks, including limited garden space and the difficulty of managing a large urban population. However, the response only partly develops the central claim about whether tall apartment blocks are the best way to provide enough homes. Several points—such as rental costs, security and government planning—are mentioned but not explained or supported with a specific example. To strengthen the response, compare apartment blocks with alternatives and explain how height and density directly increase housing supply, while developing each reason with a concrete example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has recognisable paragraphs for the introduction, your position, disadvantages and recommendations, so the reader can identify the main stages of your argument. Some linking words, including “because,” “also” and “however” (implied by the shift to disadvantages), help connect points. Nevertheless, progression within paragraphs is often unclear: the opening moves quickly from facilities to property prices and population, while the final paragraph combines planning, services, roads, prices and housing without a clear sequence. Connections such as “and” are repeated, and references like “they” and “this” do not always make the intended idea clear. Organise each paragraph around one main point, then explain and illustrate it before moving to the next.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “apartments,” “population,” “facilities,” “rental” and “government,” which helps communicate the general subject. There are also attempts to express more specific ideas, such as “middle class” and “stable economy.” However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “day by day,” “make” and “people.” Frequent spelling errors and inaccurate word forms—such as “popullation,” “develponments” and “suitable to our pocket”—sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. Build a bank of accurate housing and urban-planning terms, and check spelling and collocations carefully. More precise choices would make your reasons clearer and reduce repetition.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt to connect ideas in longer sentences, for example with “because” and “as,” and you use some simple sentences to state your position. However, the range of sentence structures is limited, and complex attempts are often faulty. Errors in verb forms and agreement appear in phrases such as “most of people are moveing” and “they gives you”; articles and sentence construction are also problematic in “apartments are every reasonable for an middle class people.” Several sentences run together or lack clear punctuation, making relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using one clear subordinate clause. Check subject–verb agreement, articles and sentence boundaries during revision.
