Student answer (Band 5.0)

This eassay is about the houses in the urbanization , and also their construction processes.

I disagree with this statement .If a person is to make a tall flat it requires alot of expenses and for my perspective it is a useless investment .for example : for job going person it requires alot of time to go to the groung floor ,some times lift are not worked and then he didnot arrive timely on their work then many of people face the salary deduction,in this period of time every person also deal with the work pressure ,attending different meetings and organise also maybr some time site visits ,through all of this hectic routine whenever they come home it takes alot of time to go to their apartment .

In addition people can faced challenges if they live in top floors ,for elderly person it creates alot of problem ,they stuck in their homes and they have less possibility to go out because it is a large process for them ,they feel tired early even the destination is not arrived yet ,another example is :if someone is in a hurry to go for the medical appointment and also they didnot feel well ,so its a risky to go to the ground floor by yourself ,also many people have phoebia in lifts ,i also seen many people who didnt use lift they feel nervous and they cant survived conjested areas.

Sumup to this statement for convienece they choose to large location with a single grounded flat ,through this noboday can face any issue ,it is relaxing for anyone who wanna visit to their homes ,

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you disagree with relying on tall apartment blocks, and you give relevant concerns about lift failures, older residents, medical emergencies and lift anxiety. These examples show an attempt to support your view. However, the response only partly addresses the question of whether tall blocks are the best way to provide enough homes. Most of the discussion focuses on inconvenience for residents, while the claim about expense is not explained or supported, and there is little comparison with other housing options. Develop the central argument by explaining how these problems affect housing provision and by considering a counterpoint, such as the number of homes high-rise buildings can accommodate. A more fully developed position would make the response more convincing.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an opening, two body paragraphs and a concluding statement, and the examples are generally grouped around resident inconvenience. This gives it some basic organisation. However, the overall progression is difficult to follow: the first paragraph moves from construction costs to commuting and then to work routines, without clearly linking these points to the main argument. Connectors such as “In addition” and “Sumup to this statement” are used, but some links are unclear or inaccurate, and several sentences contain multiple ideas joined together. Use one main point per paragraph, explain it in a logical sequence, and make the conclusion restate your position and summarise the strongest reasons. Clearer referencing would also help readers follow who “they” refers to.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “urbanization,” “salary deduction,” “medical appointment” and “work pressure,” and you attempt to describe specific situations rather than relying only on general statements. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make the meaning difficult to understand, such as “large process,” “single grounded flat” and “conjested areas.” Spelling errors, including “eassay,” “alot,” “phoebia” and “convienece,” are also noticeable. Aim for accurate, natural phrases and check spelling carefully. More precise language for housing, accessibility and urban planning would help you explain your argument clearly and avoid repeating broad terms such as “a lot of” and “problem.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt some longer sentences and use basic linking structures, but the range of sentence forms is limited and errors are frequent enough to make parts of the response hard to follow. For example, “If a person is to make a tall flat it requires” has an unclear structure, while “some times lift are not worked” shows problems with agreement and verb form. Other examples include “people can faced challenges” and “they didnot feel well.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent, with spaces before full stops and long strings of clauses joined by commas. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses with correct verb forms, articles and subject–verb agreement.
