Student answer (Band 5.5)
Most of the developed countries follow this idea of building the tall apartment. This is the best solution to adjust the large population of peoples in small area of the cities.I believed that this idea can works easily to tackle the problems of limited land and houses.
People are usually come from the side area to avail the opportunities and worked or study in big cities, so that is why they move from rural to urban area. When they moved to another cities in order to work their they definitly needs accomodation. But the houses are limited due to small area for building new homes which cause the clear shortage of space. To tackle this problem of urbanization and adjust the people in cities, building the tall apartmant blocks would be a best solution. Because the new apartments do not need new land space, it can be easily constructed on already existing buildings. But the involvment of government is very crucial because the city adjustment is very big project, that comes under the government rules and regulations.
In this modern world the Tokyo city is a good example, which is a top populated city in the world but their land area is less compared to their population. They follow this idea of building the tall apartment blocks in order to ajdust that huge population easily. So, the follow this idea and authorties implemented it in very well manner, and now the Tokyo city is very well developed in the world.
In conclusion, building the tall apartments block would be a best solution for the cities who are facing the problem of urbanization and people do not have space for accomodation in city.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you agree that tall apartment blocks are an effective response to housing pressure in large cities. You explain the demand created by rural-to-urban migration and the limited availability of land, then use Tokyo as an example, so the response addresses the main question with relevant support. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained. For instance, saying apartments can be built “on already existing buildings” does not clarify how this would work or whether you mean replacing or adding to existing structures. The Tokyo example is also general and does not show specifically how high-rise housing has helped provide enough homes. Develop these points and briefly acknowledge a limitation or alternative to make the argument more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs give reasons and an example, and a conclusion restates your position. The progression from urban migration to housing shortages and then to Tokyo is generally easy to follow. Some links between ideas are mechanical or unclear, however. The second paragraph repeatedly uses “so” and “because,” and the sentence beginning “Because the new apartments…” is a fragment rather than a complete sentence. In the Tokyo paragraph, “So, the follow this idea” does not clearly identify who “they” refers to. Use a wider range of linking methods, make references explicit, and connect each example directly to the point it supports.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “limited land,” “shortage of space,” “urbanization,” and “government rules and regulations,” which helps communicate the central argument. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems make the writing less natural. Examples include “adjust the large population,” “side area,” and “city adjustment”; these do not express the intended ideas precisely. There are also repeated spelling errors such as “accomodation,” “apartmant,” and “definitly.” Aim for accurate phrases such as “accommodate a growing population” and “housing demand,” and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you explain the housing issue and the Tokyo example with greater clarity.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses with “because” and “which,” and your main meaning is usually understandable. However, control is inconsistent, particularly with verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries. For example, “People are usually come” combines incompatible verb forms, while “this idea can works” has an incorrect verb form after a modal. In “the houses are limited … which cause,” the relative clause has an agreement problem. The opening also joins sentences without a space or clear punctuation, and “Because the new apartments…” is an incomplete sentence. Practise forming accurate clauses and checking subject–verb agreement, verb patterns, and punctuation before adding more complex structures.
