Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address the topic by giving reasons tall apartments may help students and newly married couples, and by noting that denser building can leave land for green space. You also acknowledge a drawback for larger families, so the response is relevant to the question. However, the extent of your agreement is not clearly established: the conclusion says the choice depends on individual needs, rather than stating whether tall blocks are the best way to provide enough homes. Several points are asserted briefly—for example, the benefit to students is not compared with other housing approaches, and the family-size drawback is not explained in detail. State your position directly and develop fewer reasons with specific explanation or examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has an introduction, a sequence of supporting points, a counterpoint and a conclusion, which gives it some organisation. The ideas about students, couples, green space and larger families are generally connected to housing. However, progression is not consistently clear: the opening discusses city facilities and rules without linking them to the argument, and the paragraph beginning “On the other hand” introduces another supporting benefit rather than a clear contrast. Connectives such as “firstly,” “furthermore” and “on the second hand” are used mechanically or inaccurately, and some references, including “this option,” are not always precise. Group related points into clear paragraphs and use transitions that show the actual relationship between ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “apartment blocks,” “shared houses,” “urban area,” “green area” and “preserving climate,” which helps communicate the main subject. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “future opportunities” and “crucial role.” However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors make parts less clear, including “apropriate,” “scenerio,” “benificial” and “capacties.” Some expressions are unnatural or imprecise, such as “different and better options” and “negative drawbacks.” Aim for accurate collocations and more precise housing vocabulary; proofreading spelling and avoiding repeated general words such as “big” and “option” would improve clarity.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “because,” “who” and “which,” and the reader can usually follow your main ideas. However, the range remains limited, and complex sentences are often faulty. Examples include “Big city can has,” “its depend on the people,” and “students who do not have enough money and they do part-time jobs,” where verb forms, agreement or clause structure are incorrect. Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention, as in “a big city has different rules” followed by a run-on opening sentence, and “plays crucial role.” These errors recur and sometimes make the relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, verb patterns and sentence boundaries before adding more complex structures.
