Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You state a relevant position—“i am agree to built tall apartments blocks”—and give several reasons, including accommodating more people on less land and reducing costs. However, the response addresses the task only minimally: the reasons are listed rather than explained, and there is no specific example or consideration of why this is the best approach compared with alternatives. The introduction promises to “discuss both” perspectives, but the essay does not develop a contrasting view. The response is 117 words, which is 133 words below the 250-word minimum; this leaves too little space to develop and support your position. To improve, explain each main reason, add a relevant example, and make your degree of agreement clear throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is a basic attempt to organise the response: an opening introduces the topic, followed by a paragraph giving reasons for agreement. Phrases such as “There are several reason” and “such as” signal the direction of the discussion. However, the ideas are not arranged into a coherent, developed argument. The opening says both perspectives will be discussed, but only reasons in favour appear, and the final list ends without a conclusion. Connections between claims are also unclear; for example, “Tall buildings reduce costs” is not linked to the point about using less space. Use separate paragraphs for your position, developed reasons, and conclusion, and connect each claim to an explanation or example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “apartment blocks,” “facilities,” “water supply,” and “electricity,” so the reader can identify the subject and your main points. However, the range is limited and several choices or forms are inaccurate, such as “accomodate peoples,” “precpective,” and “evelators.” Repetition of “tall buildings” and “large cities” also limits variety, while “plethora of evidence” sounds overstated because the response provides only brief assertions rather than evidence. Aim for accurate, natural collocations and a little more variety, such as “high-rise housing,” “urban land,” and “residents.” Check spelling and word forms carefully, and choose vocabulary that matches the level of support you actually provide.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response mainly uses short, simple statements, with a few attempts to link ideas, as in “Tall buildings consumes less space as compare to house.” This shows an effort to express reasons, but the range of sentence structures is very limited and errors are frequent. Examples include “i am agree,” “It provide,” and “More family live,” where the verb forms or agreement are incorrect; “In tall building” also lacks an appropriate article and plural form. The opening contains repeated words and punctuation problems that make it harder to read. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles, and verb patterns, then combine related points into longer sentences using structures such as “because” or “which.”
