Student answer (Band 6.0)
In recent times more and more people are moving to urban areas to earn their livelihood so providing ac Icomodation to everyone becomes so difficult due to which some people believe that constructing tall buildings would be the solution. I partitially see eye to eye with this notion which i will discuss in upcoming paragraphs.
To begin with, ample of reasons are there why this approach would proven beneficial. The first and the foremost is, more houses in less land. To be more precise, by building tall apartments government can provide more houses to people with the use of very less land. Secondly, agricultural land. to clearify, if government start making big buildings one can get enough land for agriculture purpose. As per survey report held by British Broadcast Corporation 68% migrants are able to get accomodation because of the adoptation of this infrastructure.
On the other hand, its drawbacks can not be neglected. Firstly, less green spaces. To explain, with very congested model of houses government will not be able to provide eevery facility especially the green spaces not even the balconies. Due to this people will feel distracted from the nature as they do not have nay space where they can go easily after coming back from their jobs or work. In an article of the "english express" 50 % of these tall buildings does not have balconies and not even parks inside.
To conclude. although there are various benefits of having this kind of building models, its demerits can not be neglected. If a balanced approach can be adopted it will be beneficial not only for genral public but also for the nation.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is stated as partial agreement, and you address both the benefits and drawbacks of tall apartment blocks. The points about accommodating more people on less land and preserving agricultural land are relevant, as is your concern about limited green space. However, the discussion is uneven: the benefits are explained in general terms, while the drawback about green space is clearer but still needs a specific example or fuller explanation of its effects. The statistics attributed to the BBC and “English Express” are not explained or connected convincingly to your argument. To strengthen the response, clarify what you mean by a balanced approach and explain how tall buildings could be combined with parks or other housing options.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph presenting advantages, a contrasting paragraph on disadvantages, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “To begin with,” “On the other hand,” and “To conclude” make the direction of the argument easy to follow. This organisation is effective, though some linking feels formulaic, and the progression within paragraphs could be smoother. For example, the move from saving land to the BBC statistic is abrupt, and the conclusion introduces a “balanced approach” without specifying what that would involve. Improve cohesion by linking each example directly to the point it supports and using clearer references between sentences, rather than relying mainly on standard transition phrases.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “urban areas,” “agricultural land,” “green spaces,” and “congested,” which helps communicate the main ideas. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “a balanced approach.” However, several inaccurate or unnatural choices reduce precision: “ample of reasons,” “eye to eye with this notion,” and “accommodation to everyone” do not fit naturally in context. Spelling errors such as “partitially,” “clearify,” and “adoptation” are noticeable, and some wording is repetitive. Aim for accurate collocations and check spelling carefully; for instance, use “several reasons,” “partly agree,” and “provide housing for everyone.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a cause-and-effect opening and explanatory sentences beginning “To be more precise” and “Due to this.” The main argument remains understandable, but some grammatical errors affect accuracy. For example, “this approach would proven beneficial” needs a correctly formed verb, and “if government start making big buildings” has problems with the article and subject–verb agreement. Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention: “To conclude.” should introduce a continuing sentence, while “agricultural land. to clearify” incorrectly separates and punctuates the thought. Practise checking verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries, while retaining your attempts at longer structures.
