Student answer (Band 5.0)
There is an on-going discussion about providing enough accommodation in big cities via construction of tall apartment blocks. Nevertheless, I firmaly agree with this perspective because it needs to fulfill some of criterias.
One primary factor is that, providing accommodation in large cities via constructing apartment blocks is a crucial idead rather than buliding houses. However, aprtmental areas should fulfill some of these criteria such as clean area, clean water supplies to their accommodation along with that, affordable rent or price of the accommodation. From my perspective I would consider affordable rent or price as primary factor. Because affordable rent or price is the only factor where people have think more than twice. In addition, other factors also crucial as well as affordable price or rent. For instance, I would say that normally the rent of 2 BHK aprtments in Ahmedabad a well known city in Gujarat India, is around [redacted phone] dollers a month. Nevertheless, if anyone wants to provide accommodation than for sure they need to charge less than this in Ahmedabad area so a normal person can afford.
An opposing perspecive is that, in some cases most of the private accomodation charge less amount of money and try to steal other accommodations people. Via less rent people gets attracted towards it and gets less facilities as compared to other accommodation.
To conclude, its a good choice to provide enough numbers of accommodation in large citites. However, it need to fulfill some of criterias. Along with that, affordable rent or price is one of the curcial factor among other factors.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You state a position—“I firmly agree”—and discuss affordability, access to accommodation, and a possible drawback of low-cost private rentals. However, the response only partially addresses the central question: it does not explain clearly why tall apartment blocks are the best way to provide enough homes compared with other approaches, such as building outward or improving existing housing. The Ahmedabad rent example is relevant to affordability, but it does not demonstrate how high-rise construction increases housing supply. The opposing point about landlords offering lower rents and fewer facilities is also difficult to connect to the argument about building tall blocks. Develop two or three directly relevant reasons, explain each link to high-rise housing, and support them with specific examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, and it uses signposts such as “One primary factor,” “An opposing perspective,” and “To conclude.” These features give the reader a basic sense of structure. However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear: the first body paragraph moves from construction to housing criteria, then affordability and local rents without showing how these points support the stated position. Connectors such as “Nevertheless” and “However” sometimes signal contrast where the relationship is not clear, and “Along with that” is repetitive. The opposing paragraph is brief and its connection to the main argument is uncertain. Organise each paragraph around one clear claim, then use explanation and an example to develop it.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “accommodation,” “apartment blocks,” “affordable rent,” and “facilities,” so the reader can identify the subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, which sometimes makes the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “fulfill some of criterias” and “provide enough numbers of accommodation” are not natural expressions, while “steal other accommodations people” does not clearly convey the intended idea. Spelling errors such as “firmaly,” “buliding,” and “dollers” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise set of housing terms and check spelling; use phrases such as “meet certain criteria,” “increase the housing supply,” and “compete with other landlords,” where these match your meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some longer sentences and subordinate clauses, for example, “Nevertheless, if anyone wants to provide accommodation than for sure they need to charge less…” This shows an effort to go beyond simple sentence patterns, but complex constructions are often faulty, and errors recur in basic sentence formation. Examples include the comma after “factor is that,” the fragment “Because affordable rent or price is the only factor…,” and “people have think more than twice.” There are also problems with articles, agreement, and plural forms, as in “it need to fulfill” and “one of the curcial factor.” These errors can make relationships between ideas harder to understand. Practise complete sentences, subject–verb agreement, and accurate clause linking, then proofread punctuation and articles.
