Student answer (Band 5.5)
It has often noticed that better way to facilite more people in big cities is by building tall apartment blocks rather than single house. I totally agree with this statement, the best way to provide more homes in large cities is by building tall apartment blocks.
First of all, tall apartment blocks facilites more people in cities by taking less area. Seperate home for people make it difficult to manage the large number of people in city, since seperate home takes much more space than tall buildings. For example, in shangai, dubai, tokyo or other big cities, we have seen many tall buildings, whereas village area has seperate home, since people find more facilited in cities. So, tall apartment blocks can facilite more people in less area, rather than having single house for each family or group of people.
Secondly, people often find the tall buildings in the main area of cities, so which let them find other facilites like hospital, school, parks and restaurants easily. People move to cities in order to be facilited more, since tall buildings is in main area of city, people can find hospitals in emergency, jobs, parking, enjoyment zones and school etc. We used to live in village and it was very difficult to get more facilites but then my father took a decision and we moved to apartment in f10 islamabad, which made it easier to find facilites.
In conclusion, to provide more home cities has to build more tall apartment blocks to facilite more people with less area.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction: you totally agree that tall apartment blocks are the best way to provide homes in large cities. You give two relevant reasons—using less land and being close to services—and support the second with your family’s move to an apartment in Islamabad. This addresses the task, but the reasons are not developed equally. The first paragraph mainly repeats that blocks accommodate more people in less space, while the examples of Shanghai, Dubai and Tokyo are named without explaining how they demonstrate the point. The claim that tall buildings are generally in city centres also needs qualification or support. Develop each reason with a specific explanation or example to make the argument more convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “First of all” and “Secondly,” and a conclusion that restates your position. The ideas generally progress from land efficiency to access to services, so the reader can follow your argument. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “so which let them find” does not link the ideas smoothly, and the long sentence beginning “People move to cities in order to be facilited more” combines several points without a clear hierarchy. Repetition of “tall apartment blocks” and “facilites” also makes the progression feel less developed. Use clearer referencing and divide the second body paragraph into more controlled sentences.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use a small set of relevant terms, including “apartment blocks,” “large cities,” “main area,” and “emergency,” and the central meaning is usually understandable. However, vocabulary is repetitive and several word choices or forms are inaccurate, which limits precision. “Facilite” and “facilites” recur throughout, but they do not express the intended idea naturally; “provide” or “access” would fit better in different contexts. “Seperate home” is also unclear, and “enjoyment zones” is an unnatural phrase for places to spend leisure time. Spelling errors such as “shangai” and “facilites” further weaken control. Build a wider range of accurate expressions for housing, density, and urban services, and check spelling and collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a reason clause with “since” and a relative clause in “which made it easier to find…”. Most of the argument remains understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. The opening, “It has often noticed,” is missing a clear subject and uses an unsuitable verb form; “tall buildings is” also has a subject–verb agreement error. Articles and plurals are inconsistent in phrases such as “in city” and “more home,” while the sentence beginning “People move to cities…” is overloaded and difficult to control. Aim for accurate basic sentence patterns first, then add complex clauses selectively. Check agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries during revision.
