Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is often argued that, the best way to provide homes in urban cities is to built high-rise apartment. I completely agree with this statement because it help people to have thrie own houses at affordable rate and also it plays a crucial role to save enviroment.
First of all, buliding a high-rise apartments help migrant people to have their own houses without doing struggles to find a home at affordable rate. If people find houses in urban cities then it make their life easier becasue many people nowadays migrate from countryside to cities in order to grab job opportunities and to have a strong academic background for their childrens. For instance, in a survey of china university it shows that 75% of the people in todays world travel to urban cities and also to another country for earning money. So, i think that buliding a apartment provide an affordable entryway into city life.
Secondly, it also have major impact on enivironment because in urban cities with high population if people start building their own houses then it densly polutate cities, open greenery environment and even natural land. Futhermore, building high-rise apartment minimize commuting distance and also reduce the amount of carbon footprint. It also play a major role to prevent ecosystem.
In conclusion, building a high-rise apartment not mitigate the problem of finding homes in cities but also keep the surrounding safe. So, i strongly agree that providing enough homes in urban cities is to build high-rise building which also help countryside citizens to have a better future.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction (“I completely agree”) and remains consistent in the conclusion. You give two relevant reasons: apartment blocks can offer more affordable homes to people moving to cities, and higher-density housing may reduce pressure on land and commuting. These points address the question, but they are not developed equally or precisely. The affordability argument is supported with a broad claim about migration and a survey whose relevance and source are unclear; explain more directly how apartment blocks increase supply or lower costs. The environmental point also needs a clearer link between density and protecting green space. A specific, well-explained example would make the support more convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signposted by “First of all” and “Secondly,” and a conclusion. This makes the main line of argument easy to follow. However, some connections between ideas are abrupt or unclear. In the first body paragraph, the discussion moves from affordable housing to migration, education and a survey without fully explaining how each supports the central point. The environmental paragraph also combines several effects without showing their relationship. Some linking phrases, such as “So” and “Futhermore,” are used mechanically, and “It” in “It also play a major role” has an unclear reference. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example explicitly to the paragraph’s main claim.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “high-rise apartment,” “job opportunities,” “commuting distance” and “carbon footprint,” so the reader can understand the subject and your main ideas. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, spelling and collocation errors make the expression less natural: “urban cities,” “without doing struggles,” “densly polutate,” and “prevent ecosystem.” Some key terms are also repeated, particularly “building” and “apartment.” Aim for accurate collocations and more precise vocabulary when describing housing supply and environmental effects. Proofreading spelling and choosing natural phrases will improve clarity and help you express your ideas with greater flexibility.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a conditional structure (“If people find houses in urban cities then it make their life easier”) and a reason clause explaining migration. However, errors in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence construction occur across the response. For example, “it help people” should have a singular verb, while “building a high-rise apartments help” has a mismatch between the article and plural noun and also needs a singular verb. In “it also have major impact,” the verb and article are missing or incorrect. These errors sometimes make sentences harder to process, although your overall meaning remains understandable. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and article use, then review each sentence for a complete, accurate structure.
