Student answer (Band 4.5)

The crucial way to give certain homes in urban areas is to provide big apartment blocks. In this essay we will discuss we can provide houses to low income families and facilities to them.

First and foremost, I wanted to include that instead to make suburbs we have to environment clean. This is not only government responsibility, local individuals also have to make perventions. For instance government can launch useful objects which make environment clean such as solar system which consume energy from sunlight and transfer energy to houses for useful re-sourse. People also make continuously contracts for their own business and land in cities continuously decreases instead they can apartments for people.

A lot of apartment are in high budgets which they underprivileged individuals can not afford. Therefore government introduce facilities for these individuals who travel village to cities. For example government spending money on factories and societies. Some people housing societies plots can not afford so they introduce loan for people. Furthermore government should have to build apartment in urban areas which would be affordable for them. If they can not afford them introduce the bank loan for returnable cost.

I would like to tell that government should have to control environment and introduce the apartments and many facilities for local people instead of housing scheme. Because of this no one will be homeless and everybody have their own homes and live their lives freely.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5

The response is only partly focused on the question. It mentions apartment blocks and affordable housing, but does not clearly state how far you agree or disagree with building tall blocks as the best solution. The discussion shifts to environmental cleanliness, solar energy, factories, loans and housing societies, and these points are not consistently connected to whether high-rise apartments can provide enough homes. The claim that government should build affordable apartments is relevant, but it needs explanation and a specific supporting example. The response also falls 13 words short of the required minimum. To strengthen the answer, state your position directly, compare tall blocks with alternatives, and develop two relevant reasons with clear examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is a basic paragraph structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “First and foremost,” “For instance” and “Furthermore” show an attempt to guide the reader. However, the progression is difficult to follow because several ideas are introduced without clear links to the main question. For example, the discussion moves from suburbs and environmental cleanliness to solar systems, then to business contracts and decreasing city land. Some references are also unclear, as in “they introduce loan,” where the reader cannot readily identify who “they” refers to. Organise each paragraph around one reason, use linking phrases to show the relationship between ideas, and make references explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt vocabulary relevant to housing and urban issues, including “underprivileged individuals,” “housing societies,” “affordable” and “homeless.” These choices show some range beyond very basic language. However, inaccurate word choice and collocation sometimes make the meaning unclear: “give certain homes,” “make perventions,” “useful objects” and “returnable cost” do not express the intended ideas naturally. Spelling and word-form errors, such as “re-sourse,” also reduce precision. Aim to use familiar, accurate phrases rather than forcing uncommon expressions, and check collocations when discussing housing and government policy. More precise terms such as “provide sufficient housing” and “offer financial assistance” would make your argument clearer.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response includes simple statements and attempts longer structures, including a conditional sentence beginning “If they can not afford them.” Some sentence boundaries and basic patterns are understandable, so the main topic can generally be followed. However, errors are frequent, particularly with verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction. Examples include “A lot of apartment are,” “government spending money,” “everybody have,” and “government should have to build.” The opening also contains an incomplete construction: “In this essay we will discuss we can provide houses.” Practise forming complete clauses and checking subject–verb agreement, plurals and verb patterns. Using a few accurate complex sentences is more effective than combining several ideas in faulty structures.
