Student answer (Band 5.5)
The best method to provide enough homes in big cities is to construct tall apartments towers. This essay agrees with this statement because cover the little space for more houses and less amount of money spend on land purchase.
The tall apartment blocks provide large numbers of houses in small protion of land. Few houses are constructed on the land and thers houses are build on the roof of ground floor houses. In this multiples houses are constructed with little piece of land. For instance, Few years ago there was serious home crises issues in Australia, Australian government bane on the construction of single protion home with in next five years 50 percent issues solved due to the construction of large apartment blocks.
The land prices are increasely day by day due to the shortage of residential land. Many of the middle class people can not build own home because they have not great amount of money to purchase land, but if they purchased a apartment they can save large amount of money. For instance, last year my father sell single story house and purchase two apartsments with same amount of money.
In conclusion. I believe that high rise tower apartments is the best method to provide large number of homes in city because they cover the less space than single story home.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you agree that tall apartment blocks are the best way to provide homes, and you give two relevant reasons—using less land and reducing the cost of buying land. The examples about Australia and your father also relate to the argument. However, the response addresses the task only partially because the reasons are asserted more than explained. The Australia example, in particular, makes a specific claim about a government ban and a 50% improvement without explaining how this supports the argument or providing context. The response is also 27 words below the required minimum. Develop each reason with clearer explanation and a more fully explained example to make your case more convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay has a recognisable overall arrangement: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present separate reasons, and a conclusion restates your position. This makes the main line of argument easy to follow. However, progression within the paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and some links feel mechanical. For example, both body paragraphs rely on “For instance” to introduce examples, while “In this” does not clearly show how the preceding point leads to the next sentence. The conclusion begins with “In conclusion.” as a separate fragment rather than connecting smoothly to the final statement. Use clearer references and vary linking expressions, while ensuring each example is explicitly tied back to its paragraph’s main idea.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “residential land,” “middle class,” “construction,” and “apartment blocks,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts of the argument difficult to understand. Phrases such as “cover the little space,” “home crises issues,” and “single protion home” do not express the intended ideas naturally; spelling errors such as “protion” and “apartsments” also reduce clarity. Aim to learn common collocations for housing and urban development, and check spelling carefully. More precise wording would help you explain the land-use and affordability arguments without changing your overall position.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with reasons and examples, such as the sentence beginning “Many of the middle class people can not build own home because…”. However, the range is limited, and attempts at more complex structures are often faulty. For example, “This essay agrees with this statement because cover…” lacks a grammatical subject after “because,” while “my father sell single story house and purchase two…” has inconsistent verb forms and missing articles. There are also problems with agreement and sentence boundaries, as in “In conclusion. I believe…”. Practise building accurate clauses with a clear subject and verb, and check articles, verb tense, and punctuation before submitting.
