Student answer (Band 5.5)

In large cities build apartment blocks is the most thing we can do to offer plenty number of houses, that can easily gives people opportunity to find place to live, many arguments support this idea and i agree with, because i belive the overwelming benefits make it more convinving.

Primary justification of this view, is the observation of the huge amount of population in large cities specificaly, proportion of dimography has increased dramatically over the recent years, which makes us in a serious issue. The main problem is how can we make all of this large number of generation live in a small place, thus, built tall apartment blocks is the great idea. Moreover housing is a right for every living being, therefore, authorities must concentrate on making the relevant type of constractions.

However, another argument holds that enough homes to people equal safety, stable economic situation and sustainable devlopment, with making sure that every one in the community is a resident we insure the maintaining of government improvement, hence, the apartments is the best choice. In addition, leaving in one building together is an exciting fact, we feel like we are surrounded by other people and we can also share our foods or tradutional items. For example, i have been living in an apartment in the city center where i live, and it makes me feel very happy due to my neigberhood, i used to do several activities with.

In conclusion, maybe living in a separated house is a helpfull view, yet, build apartment blocks is the most significant tool to reduce resident problem and save our system, it is also an amazing approach to create coherent society

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you agree that tall apartment blocks are the best way to provide homes, and you return to this view in the conclusion. You give relevant reasons, including population growth, limited urban space, housing as a right, and the social benefits of living near others. The personal example about enjoying activities with neighbours also helps make one point concrete. However, some ideas are asserted rather than explained: for instance, the link between apartment living, economic stability and “government improvement” is unclear, and the social example is not fully connected to why high-rise buildings provide enough homes. Develop the practical housing argument more directly, and explain how your examples support your position, to make the response more complete and convincing.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the ideas generally relate to your position. You also use linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “However,” and “In addition” to signal relationships. At times, though, progression is difficult to follow because several different claims are crowded into long sentences. For example, the second body paragraph moves from safety and economic stability to government improvement and then to sharing food, without clearly showing how each point connects to the main argument. Some linking phrases feel mechanical, and the final example ends without a clear completion. Give each paragraph a more focused central idea, use shorter sentences where needed, and make references between claims explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “population,” “sustainable development,” “authorities,” and “coherent society,” and you show some willingness to use less common expressions. However, inaccurate word choice, spelling and collocation are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning unclear. Examples include “plenty number of houses,” “proportion of dimography,” “government improvement,” and “resident problem.” Several words are also misspelled, such as “belive,” “overwelming,” and “neigberhood.” These issues limit precision even when the intended idea can be inferred. Build a reliable set of topic phrases and check spelling and word forms; prefer clear, natural combinations over ambitious wording that does not fit the meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “because,” “which,” and “where,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, complex sentences are often not controlled successfully, and errors in sentence structure, agreement, verb forms, articles and punctuation can make the reader work to understand the point. For example, “In large cities build apartment blocks is…” lacks a clear grammatical subject, while “that can easily gives people” has an incorrect verb form. The sentence beginning “Primary justification of this view, is…” also has problematic article use and punctuation. Practise building accurate subject–verb sentences first, then add subordinate clauses, and check agreement and sentence boundaries during revision.
