Student answer (Band 5.0)
Having big building apartment blocks provide enough houses in urban areas.
I agree with this statement, Building tall apartment blocks provide enough houses to people. Most of the cities like dubai having tall apartments blocks and bruj Califa is one the finest of example of it, world tallest building having well design apartments.
However it's depends on the population, city like dubai is one of the destination for most of people. So the growing ratio of dubai is increasing day by day and these tall apartments building provide enough space. The design and size of the aparmtent play a vital role, urban cities must allow and follow proper rule and regulation of the country before starting building the apartment blocks, which will help them to create sustainable city.
I disagree on the statements because unplanned building cause troubles for the deveoplment of the cities specially under developing countires like Pakistan, India and Africa where the population is increasing day by day while people are facing lack of home. The cities like Mumbai and Karachi are example of it. The goverment failed to implement housing policy and regulation which they must follow before making any building or apartment blocks, due this these country facing problems.
Making taller building provide enough homes to people in urban cities if they follow proper housing policy otherwise it's just another disaster for any city or country.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a position on both sides, first agreeing that tall blocks can provide homes and then disagreeing when construction is unplanned. The Dubai and Mumbai/Karachi examples are relevant, and you conclude that housing policy is important. However, the response only partially develops the question of whether tall apartment blocks are the best way to provide enough homes: the discussion shifts towards regulation and population growth without comparing this approach with alternatives or explaining its limits in detail. Your position is also difficult to follow because the opening says you agree, while the later paragraph says you disagree, and the conclusion offers a conditional view without clearly resolving this. The response is 19 words below the required minimum. Develop one consistent position and support it with fuller explanations and examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic paragraph structure: an introduction, a paragraph supporting tall buildings, a contrasting paragraph, and a conclusion. Connectors such as “However” and “otherwise” show an attempt to guide the reader through the argument. Nevertheless, the overall progression is not clear because the opening states agreement, the later paragraph begins “I disagree,” and the conclusion combines both positions without explaining how they fit together. Some links are also awkward or unclear, as in “So the growing ratio of dubai is increasing day by day,” and the discussion moves from population growth to design and regulation without fully showing the connection. To improve, organise the essay around a clear position, use each paragraph for one main reason, and make references and transitions precise rather than relying on a few repeated linking phrases.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “urban areas,” “population,” “sustainable city,” “housing policy,” and “regulation,” which helps communicate the general subject. However, the range is limited and several phrases are repeated, especially “tall apartment blocks,” “provide enough homes,” and “day by day.” There are noticeable word-choice and collocation problems that sometimes make meaning less clear, such as “growing ratio,” “destination for most of people,” and “one the finest of example.” Spelling errors, including “aparmtent,” “deveoplment,” and “goverment,” also reduce accuracy. Build a wider set of precise housing and urban-planning expressions, check spelling carefully, and learn common word partnerships so your ideas sound clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with clauses, for example, “The design and size of the aparmtent play a vital role” and the sentence beginning “The goverment failed to implement housing policy.” However, the range remains limited, and attempts to combine ideas often contain frequent errors that can make the reader pause. Examples include “Having big building apartment blocks provide,” “I agree with this statement, Building,” and “However it's depends,” where sentence boundaries, verb forms, and agreement are not controlled. Articles and plural forms are also inconsistent, as in “one of the destination” and “any building or apartment blocks.” Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses with correct punctuation. Proofread each sentence for a clear subject, verb, and complete structure.
