Student answer (Band 6.0)
In contemporary world, it is largely acknowledged that high-rise buildings are an efficient way to create more space for families in big urban centers. Although this is a time-taking process, I strongly agree with this statement.
This is due to the fact that apartment blocks may increase the proximity of services and employmnet, and this also ensure the efficient use of available space.
First and foremost, tall buildings accomodate a large proportion of population. Therefore, socities can have more land left for green areas, where they can plant trees and improve quality of air. For instance, in some areas of pakistan, government invest in high-rise building. As a result, they have more land areas left, which they used for planting trees and temperature remained stable in that areas.
Another significant reason is tall building are usually constructed in well-connected urban cores, keeping the residential areas close to the supermarkets, schools, hospitals and workplaces. For this reason, this residential approach contributes to improve overall living standard. For example, if authorities take action on building high-rise appartment blocks in big cities, it will provide numerous amount of facilities in an arms reach for citizens.
In conclusion, many people are in of view that tall building are best way to accomodate large population. From my perspective, this is a beneficial approach. As this not only provide better opportunities for employment and services but also enhances overall living standard.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction (“I strongly agree”) and conclusion, and both body paragraphs give relevant reasons: high-rise housing can preserve land for green space and place residents near services and jobs. The examples about Pakistan and access to facilities help illustrate these points. However, the support is uneven and sometimes unclear: the Pakistan example does not explain where or how the land was preserved, while the second example is hypothetical rather than specific. The response also contains 235 words, so it does not meet the 250-word minimum. Develop each reason with a clearer explanation or a concrete example, and use the additional space to address why tall blocks are the best approach, not simply a beneficial one.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs organised around separate reasons, and a conclusion that restates your view. Signposting such as “First and foremost,” “Another significant reason,” and “In conclusion” makes the progression easy to follow. However, some links are mechanical, and a few references are unclear. For example, “this residential approach” and “this” in the final paragraph do not identify their referents precisely; “they” in the Pakistan example could also be clearer. The sentence beginning “As this not only…” is a fragment, which interrupts the conclusion’s flow. Use more precise referencing and connect explanations to examples directly, rather than relying mainly on formulaic transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “high-rise buildings,” “green areas,” “well-connected urban cores,” and “living standard.” These choices communicate the main ideas, but several spelling and word-choice errors reduce accuracy and naturalness: “employmnet,” “accomodate,” and “appartment” are misspelled, while “time-taking process” and “numerous amount of facilities” are awkward collocations. “In of view” is also an inaccurate expression. Aim for precise, natural combinations and check spelling carefully. You could use “time-consuming,” “a large number of facilities,” and “in the view of” or “many people believe” to express these ideas more idiomatically.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex structures, including a concessive opening (“Although this is…”) and a relative clause (“where they can plant trees”). Most of the argument remains understandable, but some grammatical errors occur in agreement, articles, and sentence construction. For example, “this also ensure” needs subject–verb agreement, and “tall building are” needs a plural subject or singular verb. The conclusion’s “As this not only provide…” is an incomplete sentence and also has agreement problems. Review articles and plural forms as well: “the best way” and “tall buildings are.” To improve, check each sentence for a clear subject and finite verb, especially when beginning with “as” or “this.”
