Student answer (Band 5.5)
In recent decades, large cities have congested space and small houses for families to live. The effective method to provide the significant spaces for homes is to construct tall building appartments and blocks. I firmly agree with the statement because a huge number of people can have houses to live with ease and it can helps families to live close to each other.
To begin with, in developed cities there is a mob of people to live in cities, so, it bring issues of accomodation. Therefore, there are small and few houses in comparison with number of people; so, in samll houses numerous people are living hardly, To overcome this issue, the best way is to build tall appartments and blocks to facilitate the residents. It can bring ease and provide enough space for families. For instance, tall buildings have a huge number of appartments for the crowed of people, and it occupies small arae of land. However, a single house can occupy large area and can accomodate only one family, so tall buildings can provide residence to large number of people.
Additionally, it helps to bring families to live together in same building, but in different appartmets. They can spend their time together with their loved ones. Although, many people want to live seprate from their siblings, most people chose to live with their parents and families to spend quality time with them. For example, several individuals wish to celebrate events like Eid, Charismas and other occassions with their families. Tall building appartments give them opportunity to fulfill their dream to be with their families on their special days.
In conclusion, the best way to provide housing facility to the people of large cities is to construct tall appartment blocks. So that people can have a good accomodation close to theri families.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you firmly agree that tall apartment blocks are an effective way to provide homes in large cities. You give relevant reasons, including that blocks house many people on less land and can keep families near one another, with examples such as celebrating Eid and Christmas together. However, the response addresses the issue only partly because the second reason focuses more on family closeness than on how this approach provides enough housing. The points about land efficiency and capacity are relevant but need fuller explanation or a specific example. Develop the main housing argument further, and briefly acknowledge a limitation or alternative before explaining why high-rise construction is still preferable.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present reasons, and a conclusion restates your position. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin with,” “Additionally,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the structure. However, some links are mechanical or unclear. For example, “Although” introduces a contrast but the sentence does not clearly connect that contrast to the benefit of apartment blocks, and “So that” makes the final sentence fragment-like rather than a complete conclusion. Some ideas also repeat the point that blocks accommodate many people. Use clearer links between each claim and its explanation, and make sure each paragraph develops a distinct point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant housing vocabulary, including “accommodation,” “residents,” “apartments,” and “occupy,” and the reader can generally understand your argument. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning less natural: “congested space,” “a mob of people,” and “provide the significant spaces for homes” do not express the intended ideas precisely. Spelling errors such as “appartments,” “accomodation,” and “crowed” are also noticeable. Build a more accurate set of phrases for urban housing and land use, and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you explain the benefits without relying repeatedly on “tall buildings” and “people.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a reason clause with “because” and a contrast introduced by “Although.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in verb forms, agreement, sentence boundaries, and punctuation sometimes make the writing difficult to read. For example, “it can helps families” has an incorrect verb form, while “so, it bring issues” has a subject–verb agreement error. The opening phrase “In recent decades, large cities have congested space” is also grammatically unclear. The final “So that people can have…” is not a complete sentence. Practise checking each sentence for a clear subject and verb, and use complex clauses only when their grammatical relationship is clear.
