Student answer (Band 4.5)
The best way to provide enough homes in large cities is to build tall apartments block
am agree or somewhere am not agree because tall apartments blocks are the best option to save the clean environment and also this is the best way to upgrade the real estate sectors where just work on the quality of the building and make sure the product which is implementing their should be solid material make the best infrastructure
- the tall apartment blocks are good option
but be limited at least 12 to 15 floorspace
- best for human who find peace full environment and also fond their homes
- this will help us to live like a best nebourhood and to live in tall buildings they can enjoy the best view from their
for example i see lot of large cities where they have not good options like tall buildings and etc they have very small building where i see the brick wall are also good and solid as compared to blocks where the blocks apartment should be better also something they don't have the privacy so its the disadvantage from my prospective and i feel tall apartments are for those who will compromise their privacy with other guys or families sometimes the fight from bills or any other thing happened i see the negative things from blocks apartment where in other hand its good also if someone is felling alone then they found company and helps other also found help from others

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You address the topic and show a mixed position: tall apartment blocks can provide homes and community, but you also raise concerns about privacy and conflict. These are relevant points, and the reference to large cities gives an attempt at an example. However, your position is difficult to identify precisely (“am agree or somewhere am not agree”), and most ideas are listed rather than explained or supported. The example remains general, so it does not clearly demonstrate why high-rise housing is the best way to meet demand. The response contains 237 words, which is 13 words below the 250-word minimum; 14 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. Develop a clear degree of agreement and explain one or two reasons with specific support.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5
There is a basic attempt to group related points, including a short list of advantages followed by a longer discussion of disadvantages and benefits. Some links, such as “for example” and “on the other hand,” signal relationships between ideas. However, the response has no clear paragraph structure, and the dash-led points interrupt the flow of an essay. Ideas move abruptly from environmental benefits to building materials, neighbourhoods, privacy, arguments over bills, and loneliness. The final sentence also combines several contrasting points without a clear progression. Organise the response into an introduction, separate body paragraphs for your main reasons, and a conclusion. Use linking phrases to show how each example supports your position, rather than relying on lists or loosely connected clauses.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “tall apartment blocks,” “privacy,” “infrastructure,” and “neighbourhood,” which helps communicate the general subject. There are also attempts to express more specific ideas, such as “solid material” and “real estate sectors.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or combinations are unclear or unnatural, including “peace full environment,” “fond their homes,” and “the product which is implementing.” Spelling and word-form errors, such as “nebourhood” and “felling,” also reduce clarity. Build a more precise set of housing-related expressions and check common collocations. For example, describe construction materials as durable and explain whether high-rise housing offers residents a sense of community or compromises their privacy.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt to express contrast and cause, for example with “because,” “where,” and “if,” and some basic clauses communicate your main points. However, sentence structures are often incomplete or joined in ways that make relationships difficult to follow. The opening “am agree or somewhere am not agree” lacks a clear subject and accurate verb form, while “this will help us to live like a best nebourhood” shows problems with articles and sentence construction. Long sentences near the end contain several clauses without reliable punctuation, making the meaning harder to track. Use complete subject–verb sentences, practise accurate agreement and articles, and divide complex ideas into shorter sentences. Then add a few controlled complex sentences to explain reasons and examples.
