Student answer (Band 4.0)
The best way to give require houses to each individual in metropolition city is to create high-rise.I partly agree on this statement because many people shift village to the city and in the city not have enough space for each person to build house so in some place build houses and in some area build high-rise so all families are living peaceful life in their home.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0
You state a relevant, partly agreeing position and give a basic reason: migration to cities creates pressure on limited space, so high-rise housing may accommodate more families. However, the response stops after “Nowadays, Many people” and does not develop the argument, explain the alternative of building houses, or provide the requested supporting example. The task is therefore addressed only minimally, with the position and ideas left largely unsupported. The response also does not meet the 250-word minimum, which substantially limits how fully you can answer the question. To improve, complete the essay with developed reasons for and against apartment blocks, explain why you partly agree, and add a specific example before concluding.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5
There is a basic attempt to organise the response: the opening introduces the topic and your position, followed by a reason beginning with “because.” The ideas in the first sentence also have a simple sequence, moving from migration to limited space and then to high-rise buildings. However, the response ends abruptly at “Nowadays, Many people,” so there is no completed development, paragraph progression, or conclusion. The linking phrase “so” is used to connect several ideas in one long sentence, making their relationships less clear. Use separate paragraphs for your position, supporting reasons, and conclusion, and connect each point with clear, accurate transitions. This would create a more coherent progression rather than leaving the reader with an unfinished thought.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “high-rise,” “metropolition city,” “space,” and “families,” so the general subject is identifiable. There is also an attempt to express the idea of urban migration and housing demand. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “give require houses,” “shift village to the city,” and “in some place build houses.” “Metropolition” is also misspelled, and the limited response offers little range beyond basic housing terms. Aim for precise, natural phrases such as “provide enough housing,” “move from rural areas to cities,” and “residential space.” Building a wider set of topic vocabulary and checking collocations will make your argument easier to understand.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response attempts to combine ideas using a reason clause (“because”) and a result clause (“so”), showing some effort to move beyond isolated simple sentences. However, the sentence structures are not controlled consistently. For example, “in the city not have enough space” lacks a clear subject and correctly formed verb, while “so all families are living peaceful life” has problems with article use and sentence construction. The opening also contains an incomplete construction around “I partly agree on this statement.” The final fragment, “Nowadays, Many people,” is unfinished. Practise forming complete clauses with explicit subjects and verbs, and use shorter sentences to express each point accurately before attempting longer structures.
