Student answer (Band 4.5)

The benifit way to give enough houses in big cities is to construct long apartment blocks. The reason behind this issue is more and more people build new houses they are not convert on apartments. In this essay I agree this statement that people want to perefer living in apartments blocks.

First of all, this is very important issue in todays modern world. There are several reasons why people have different opinions about this toppic. But I totally agree people chose living in apartment blocks because population increased day by day then the result is agriculture system destroyed because we have no more fields that farmers grown different types of crop. For example, many people experience its effects in their daily routine beacuse in every country faced food crises. Moreover, it can influence individuals, families and scociety as a whole. Lastly, important point is that people should understand its importance and try to learn more about it.

Furthermore, there are many things that can be done to improve this situation. In my opinion, if people making new houses day by day and private companies build new societies in future our children faced different types problems like clean environment, fresh oxygen and others. I think people should understand both the positive and negative sides of this issue before making any decision. For instance, teachers, government, media both social and paper can aware about this issue. Moreover, people should work together and take responsibility for their actions.

To sum up, I think all people agree with my ideas because in this essay I will described individuals some personal aspects because every person want to save our bright future.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You state a position in the introduction (“I agree”) and return to a general conclusion, so the reader can identify your broad view. However, the response only minimally addresses the specific claim that tall apartment blocks are the best way to provide homes. Much of the discussion shifts to population growth, agriculture, food crises, pollution and public awareness, without explaining how high-rise housing supplies more homes or comparing it with alternatives. The examples are also broad rather than clearly connected to the argument. To strengthen the response, explain the housing benefit of building upwards, develop one or two relevant reasons with specific examples, and make your degree of agreement clear throughout. The current ideas do not sufficiently answer the central question.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “First of all,” “Furthermore” and “To sum up” show an attempt to organise it. However, ideas are not arranged in a clear line of reasoning: the first body paragraph moves from apartment living to agriculture and food crises, while the second shifts to environmental concerns and public awareness. These points are not linked clearly to the question about providing homes. Some transitions, including “Moreover” and “Lastly,” introduce additional claims without showing how they relate to the previous point. The conclusion also does not effectively summarise the argument. Build each paragraph around one relevant reason, explain it in sequence, and use linking expressions only where the relationship between ideas is clear.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “apartment blocks,” “population,” “agriculture system,” “clean environment” and “responsibility.” This gives the response a basic range for discussing cities and society. However, vocabulary is often repetitive or imprecise, and several spelling errors make the writing less controlled: “benifit,” “perefer,” “toppic,” “beacuse” and “scociety.” Phrases such as “people build new houses they are not convert on apartments” and “teachers, government, media … can aware” are difficult to interpret because the word choices and combinations are unnatural. Aim for precise housing-related expressions and check spelling carefully. More accurate collocations would help communicate your ideas without requiring the reader to infer your meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, using clauses introduced by “because,” “if” and “that.” Some basic sentences communicate a general point, such as “Moreover, it can influence individuals, families and society as a whole.” However, complex attempts are often faulty and can obscure meaning. For example, “if people making new houses day by day and private companies build new societies in future our children faced…” lacks a consistent clause structure and tense; “population increased day by day” also needs a more suitable verb form. There are recurring problems with articles, agreement and sentence boundaries, as in “this is very important issue” and the opening sentence, which joins separate ideas without clear punctuation. Practise forming complete clauses and checking tense and agreement in each sentence.
