Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays, the topic of the good method to provide enough homes in big cities is to construct tall buliding blocks. It is generated debate because it is becoming the most crucial issue of the society. I am agree with this statement because their is a need of such a important step.

On the one hand, building a apartment is very important for cities due to continously increase in population. More and more peoples are migrated from village to cities for better education, healthcare and jobs. I am agree with constucted a tall aparment blocks because it take less area than the housing schemes and colonies. It also provides better environment to the citizens. It is more secure and reliable.

On the other hand, it is also constructed with friendly budget and flats are available on good budget. For instance, many individuals in big cities do not have enough money to pay a rent of big houses, so such types of apartments are very good for all of them. However there are no need to spread a electricity wires in lagre area. The drainage system is also good than big socities.

In conclusion, constructed a large apartment become a essential requirements in large cities because in future the percentages of folks will high while compared to villages. The areas of cities are not vast, so making an apartment play an very important role in managing land or area. In my perspective, it is a very positive development to manage both areas and population in urban areas.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you agree that tall apartment blocks are an effective way to provide homes, and you give relevant reasons, including limited urban land, affordability, and infrastructure. The response also considers population movement from villages to cities. However, the support is often asserted rather than explained. For example, you say apartments provide a “better environment” and are “more secure and reliable,” but do not explain how or give a specific example. The points about electricity and drainage are also brief and their connection to housing capacity is not fully developed. To strengthen the response, explain how high-rise construction accommodates more households on a smaller site and support each main reason with a concrete example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion that restates your view. This helps readers follow the broad direction of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is limited, and several ideas are placed next to one another without clear explanation of their relationship. For instance, affordability, electricity wires, and drainage appear in the second body paragraph, but the links between these points and the central argument are not made explicit. Some transitions, such as “However,” do not clearly signal a contrast. Use topic sentences and develop each paragraph around one main reason, with linking phrases that accurately show cause, contrast, or result.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “population,” “healthcare,” “secure,” “drainage system,” and “managing land.” This gives the response enough language to communicate its main ideas. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, which sometimes makes meaning less clear. Examples include “good method,” “friendly budget,” “big societies,” and “the percentages of folks will high.” There are also noticeable spelling errors, such as “buliding,” “continously,” and “lagre.” Aim to use more precise housing and urban-planning vocabulary, and check spelling and natural word combinations. For example, describe apartments as “affordable” rather than “constructed with friendly budget.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a reason clause in “because it is becoming the most crucial issue” and a contrast introduced by “However.” The main message is generally understandable, but grammatical errors are frequent and sometimes make the reader pause. Examples include “I am agree,” “their is,” “More and more peoples are migrated,” and “it take less area.” Articles and agreement are also problematic in phrases such as “a apartment” and “an very important role.” Work on subject–verb agreement, verb forms, and article use, then practise combining clauses accurately. More reliable control of these basic patterns would make your ideas easier to follow.
