Student answer (Band 6.5)
The ultimate standart of contstructing the enough accommodations in urban area has been a topic of a debate in todays' society. Building skyscrapers is regarded as a beneficial way to provide sufficient venues for living in big urban areas. I partially agree with this view , although it can enable individuals to manage urban sprawl in manageable way, it can have a negative impact on people well-being.
To begin with, the construction of apartment block may be reasonable approach to govern the urban extention effectively, which may reduce the environmental impact. To put it another way, by building tall apartments, government may largely economize the area that might be effectively leveraged to plant tress, which in turn will definitely benefit the environment. This manifest itself in the policy of Sweden, where accommodations have been confined to large apartments, with blocks of apartments covering only limited area of whole country for the sake of green policy and sustainable environment.
On the other hand, having these kinds of facilities may exert a deleterious impact on individuals' psychologically and physiologically. From psychological point of view, it is not acceptible to have people crammed into enclosed area for prolonged period of time. An individual suffering from asthma may find living this area anxiety-inducing - a something that clearly explains why it is not a good idea. Physiologically, this layout may promote sedentary lifestyle since apartment blocks lack of garden promoting active lifestyle.
To sum up, although it may assist policy makers to manage the expansion, accomodating more residents, it may admittedly have adverse impacts on individuals.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear: you partially agree, supporting apartment blocks for limiting urban expansion while arguing that they may harm residents’ well-being. Both sides are relevant, and the Sweden example gives the first argument some support. This meets the task well, but the ideas are not equally developed. The environmental benefit is explained through land use, whereas the health concerns rely on broad claims: the asthma example is not clearly connected to apartment living, and the point about sedentary lifestyles needs a more specific explanation or evidence. The conclusion restates your position but does not draw together the reasons. To strengthen the response further, explain the mechanisms behind each claimed effect and make the link to whether tall blocks are the best way to provide homes more explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The response has a clear overall progression: an introduction states your position, two body paragraphs present contrasting arguments, and a conclusion summarises your view. Signposts such as “To begin with,” “On the other hand,” and “To sum up” help readers follow this structure. Within paragraphs, ideas generally move from a claim to an explanation or example. However, some links are less smooth or precise. For instance, “This manifest itself in the policy of Sweden” does not clearly show how the example proves the preceding point, and the asthma sentence interrupts the broader argument about psychological and physical effects. The conclusion also compresses several ideas into one sentence. Clarifying these relationships and using referencing more precisely would make the progression more consistently effective.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic-related vocabulary, including “urban sprawl,” “environmental impact,” “sustainable environment,” and “sedentary lifestyle.” There are also attempts at less common language, such as “deleterious impact” and “anxiety-inducing,” which show ambition. However, several choices or combinations are inaccurate or unnatural, including “the ultimate standart,” “sufficient venues for living,” and “economize the area.” Spelling errors such as “contstructing,” “extention,” “acceptible,” and “accomodating” also reduce accuracy. These issues do not prevent the reader from understanding your main points, but they limit precision and fluency. Prefer familiar, accurate collocations where needed, and check spelling and word forms carefully before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex structures, including a relative clause in “which may reduce the environmental impact” and a contrastive construction beginning “although.” Most of the argument remains understandable, but some grammatical errors affect accuracy. The opening sentence has an awkward structure, and “although it can enable individuals …, it can have” joins contrasting clauses with a comma rather than a suitable conjunction or punctuation. Other examples include “the construction … may be reasonable approach,” “may exert a deleterious impact on individuals’ psychologically,” and “blocks lack of garden.” These show problems with articles, clause structure, and grammatical patterns. Work on building complete sentences and checking article use, possessives, and verb patterns; this will help you express your ideas more reliably.
