Student answer (Band 4.5)

Over the past decades people lives in shelters and enjoy there lifes because shelter is there need not lavish lifestyles. Now a days homes are the symbol of rich lifestyle.Home consists of several rooms and lounge etc to help people easily protect there privacy. There are many ways to provide people home but one option is the tall building having multiple portions as well as mutiple flats refer as home. Yes i will agree with it until and unless i become grandpa having pain in my joints and more horable when no one is around me.Young genaration agree with it as im also young so yes i will agree with it but my parents didin't because they are aged now and require some care.Agree in terms of myself the apartment is too cheap then building home and we can buy that at bargain price means half of money required for hosue having much more parking space in basement where i can park my multiple cars while in the small house we park only one car.As well as privacy concern homes are best rather than apartments. So here i can say that is you have enough money and aged parents and also require less parking space as well as privacy concern you may choose the home i think so it is the best option otherwise if you want to safe money for the future or any buisness my personal opinion is that you should go towards the apartment. There are alot of different sceanrios like take an example only 1 young boy he didin't needed mansion he can manage in apartment with lavish lifestyle spending there money in buisness and get rich.So yes more people needed home otherwise go with apartment prior option.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You give a recognisable, though qualified, response: you agree that apartments can be suitable for young people or those seeking to save money, while noting that houses may better meet older people’s needs and privacy concerns. These points are relevant to housing choices, but the essay does not consistently answer whether tall apartment blocks are the best way to provide enough homes in large cities. Much of the discussion shifts to personal preferences, parking, and spending money on business, rather than explaining how high-rise construction increases housing supply or considering its limitations. The position is also difficult to follow, especially in the final sentence. Develop a clear overall view and support it with focused reasons and examples about urban housing.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5

There is an attempt to move from general comments about homes to a comparison of apartments and houses, and phrases such as “As well as” and “So here” signal connections between ideas. However, the response is presented as one long paragraph, so its stages and main points are not clearly separated. The progression is also difficult to follow: the discussion moves from young people and parents to price, parking, privacy, and business without a clear organising principle. Some linking expressions do not clarify the relationship between ideas, and the final sentence does not provide a clear conclusion. Use separate paragraphs for your position, supporting reasons, and conclusion, and connect each point explicitly to the question.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “privacy,” “parking space,” “apartment,” and “lavish lifestyle,” and you attempt to express comparisons and conditions. However, the range is basic and repetitive, with “home,” “house,” and “apartment” recurring without much variation. Several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “multiple portions” for parts or units of a building, “bargain price” in this context, and “safe money” when you mean save money. Spelling errors, including “genaration,” “horable,” and “buisness,” also make the writing less clear. Build a more precise housing-related vocabulary and check spelling and natural word combinations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt some longer structures, including conditional clauses such as “if you have enough money and aged parents,” and comparisons between apartments and houses. However, sentence boundaries and grammatical control are inconsistent, and many sentences contain errors that make the intended meaning harder to follow. For example, “people lives” has incorrect subject–verb agreement, while “homes are the symbol” has an article and number problem. The opening also joins several ideas without clear punctuation, and “Yes i will agree with it until and unless i become grandpa” is structurally confusing. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with controlled clauses; check agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence punctuation.
