Student answer (Band 5.5)
Large apartments are important in cities because it provides a wide range of space to manage maximum communities. Although big houses are more appropriate for comfortable life, I believe that tall building in the large cities are more convenient because it save more area for schools, industries and hospitals as well as it reduces traffic gridlock.
On the one hand, tall constructed houses provide more space for hospitals, factories and universities. If local people makes a large houses, including a big play grounds with them, they will minimizes area for essential constructions, such as, learning institutions and big hospitals. Additionally, it aslo save a considerable amount of lands for agricultural products, it would also providing maximum production for community. For instance, in our nation, Pakistan have large cities which provides more space for vital infrastructure because they have minimum ratio of large constructed homes.
On the other hand, big residences can take minimum area that can help for government to create big roads and also bi-pases which would reduce traffic congestion. Traffic mainly present in those cities that have fewer space for transportation. Furthermore, management of huge hometowns are easy to manage them because they acquire a considerable space for larger community. Consequently, the government access easily and provide several facilities in once, such as transformers for electricity, water management and managing of disposable wastage.
In conclusion, although large space hometowns are more convenient because it provides excessive amount of amenities, I strongly agree that tall residence has more advantages than it's drawbacks it is mainly due the facts that it gives a huge area for essential activities.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address the question and state a clear position in favour of tall apartment buildings, especially in the introduction and conclusion. The two body paragraphs give relevant reasons: high-rise housing can leave land for public facilities, and denser development may make room for roads and services. The Pakistan example also attempts to connect your argument to a real context. However, some points are less fully explained: the link between tall buildings and agricultural land is unclear, and the claim that they reduce traffic needs a clearer explanation, since more residents could also increase congestion. Develop each reason with a specific cause-and-effect explanation or example to make the support more convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the overall organisation. However, the first body paragraph combines space for public facilities with agricultural production, and the relationship between these ideas is not clearly signposted. Some references are also difficult to follow, such as “they” in the Pakistan example and “them” in “management of huge hometowns are easy to manage them.” Use clearer topic sentences, keep each paragraph focused on one main reason, and make pronoun references explicit. This would make progression smoother and cohesion less mechanical.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to urban planning, including “traffic congestion,” “infrastructure,” “essential constructions,” and “considerable amount.” This gives you some range beyond basic everyday language. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unclear, including “maximum communities,” “tall constructed houses,” “huge hometowns,” and “disposable wastage.” These expressions sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to identify. There are also spelling and form errors, such as “bi-pases” and “aslo.” Aim for precise, natural phrases used in this topic, and check spelling and word forms carefully. Replacing awkward combinations with established terms will improve clarity and make your vocabulary more effective.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple and complex sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “If local people makes…” and a concession in the introduction beginning “Although…”. However, errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction occur across the response. For example, “it provides” does not agree with the plural subject “Large apartments,” while “local people makes” and “they will minimizes” have incorrect verb forms. The final sentence also joins two main ideas without clear punctuation: “I strongly agree that tall residence has more advantages than it's drawbacks it is mainly due…”. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and verb forms, and divide long sentences where needed. More accurate control of these patterns would make your meaning easier to follow.
