Student answer (Band 5.5)
Building tall aparments block in todays world will be a better option as compared to one individual house for a family. I agree to this at an extent of being eveything properly aligned and assembled.
Population all around the world has been increasing steadily and in these circumstances building tall apartments will be benificial not only for the space it will provide but also for the other facilities as well. The tall the building the more houses can be built in such an allocated space as it will be the height that will matters the most as compred to the width.Tall buildings seems to be an replication or symbol of luxury whereas the cities where these types of building has been constructed seems to be more systematic.Dubai can be taken as the prime example of these types of projects where the locals have been living their without having any kind of difficulties as it helps in managing the system with ease and compatibility. An area required for house will be the same for these tall apartments, the only difference between this will be the portion manangement,an house us basically designed just for one family whereas in these tall apartments many families can live easily.
Although there is something to be keep in mind and that is the cost, safety and maintenance required for these projects.Cities that are always under some kind of risks including floods and storms should avoid these projects as it may lead to hazaradous events.
Currently tall buildings are part of almost every city and it has shown a positive impact on the coutrys economic growth.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a relevant position in favour of tall apartment buildings, and you support it with points about population growth, efficient land use and the example of Dubai. You also acknowledge costs, safety and maintenance, which shows some awareness of limitations. However, the extent of your agreement is not fully clear: “I agree to this at an extent” is difficult to interpret, and the response does not explain when apartment blocks are the best solution compared with other housing options. Several claims, such as their positive effect on economic growth and the safety of residents in Dubai, are asserted rather than explained or supported. Develop fewer points with clearer reasoning and make your position consistent throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic overall structure: it introduces your view, gives supporting reasons, adds a qualification and ends with a concluding claim. The ideas about population and land use are related, and “Although” signals a contrast. However, most of the argument is placed in one long paragraph, so the progression between points is difficult to follow. Connections such as “as well” and “whereas” do not always make the relationship between ideas clear, and the final sentence introduces economic growth without linking it to the earlier discussion. Use separate paragraphs for the main argument, limitations and conclusion, and make each paragraph develop one central point with clear references and transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “population,” “allocated space,” “maintenance” and “economic growth,” so the reader can understand the general subject. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate spellings or word choices make the writing less clear, for example “aparments,” “benificial,” “hazaradous” and “portion manangement.” Some expressions are also unnatural, such as “living their” and “the height that will matters the most.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations rather than adding ambitious wording: for instance, describe buildings as “high-rise apartment blocks” and explain that they “accommodate more households on a smaller land area.” Proofreading spelling and choosing precise phrases would make your argument easier to follow.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some longer sentences and use structures such as “whereas” and “Although,” but the range is limited and complex sentences are often faulty. Errors in agreement and verb forms appear in “the height that will matters,” “Tall buildings seems” and “the cities … has been constructed.” Articles and sentence construction are also problematic in phrases such as “an house” and “there is something to be keep in mind.” Punctuation is inconsistent, with several ideas joined into long sentences without clear boundaries. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine related ideas using one controlled subordinate clause. Check subject–verb agreement, verb forms and articles when editing.
