Student answer (Band 5.5)
I disagree with the idea of buliding tall apartment blocks in large cities to accomodate its population. The reason is very simple it accumulate a lot of attention that leads to increase in population which can lead to inflation and housing crisis in that state or place. If the demand becomes high and the supply is less than it will adversely effect the develoment of that place.
For example I stay in Indirapuram city in Ghaziabad district where a lot of skyscraper are in progress that already has appeal a huge audience over the course of time , Now the thing is the road infratsructure to handle such immense crowd is not built which lead to congestion and pollution that mentally frustates a indiviual and effect its daily life.
I feel like a ceratin height and allocation of space should be granted to build apartments that can accomodate people. This way everything can be controlled and managed by the authorities in long run. At present lot of people are migrating from rural areas to large cities in search of jobs and good livelihood this leads to increase demands of housing in such area.
Due to this builders tend to make high rise apartments and the cost of these flats also skyrocket with less space to live. These high rise apartment also create a barrier for the mobile signal and makes it difficult to stay connected with our loved ones without WIFI.
From my prespective apartments must be max of 5-8 floors and less blocks in a standard society.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you disagree with relying on tall apartment blocks, and you offer relevant concerns about congestion, pollution, housing costs and infrastructure. The Indirapuram example gives the response a useful local focus. However, the argument is only partly developed. The opening claim that towers attract population and cause inflation is asserted rather than explained, and the point about mobile signals is introduced without showing how significant it is compared with the need for homes. The task asks whether this is the best way to provide enough housing, so compare high-rise building with alternatives such as planned mid-rise development or expanding transport and services. Explain how your proposed five-to-eight-floor limit could still accommodate enough residents.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic paragraph structure, moving from your position to a local example, then to a proposed limit and further disadvantages. This makes the main line of argument possible to follow. However, progression between ideas is not always clear: the opening moves quickly from attracting attention to population growth, inflation and a housing crisis, while the link between high-rise buildings and mobile-signal problems is also abrupt. Connectors such as “Due to this” and “This way” are used, but they do not always make the relationship between claims precise. Some sentences contain several ideas that would be clearer if separated and ordered. Use each paragraph to develop one main reason, then explain its consequence and link it explicitly to your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “skyscraper,” “road infrastructure,” “congestion,” “pollution” and “housing crisis,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making the intended meaning difficult to follow. For example, “accumulate a lot of attention” does not naturally express that tall buildings attract residents, and “appeal a huge audience” is not the right phrase for people moving into an area. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “buliding,” “accomodate” and “develoment.” Aim for precise housing and urban-planning vocabulary, and check spelling and collocations carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some longer sentences and use clauses to explain causes and consequences, for example, “At present lot of people are migrating from rural areas to large cities in search of jobs.” However, the range of sentence structures is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty or difficult to process. The opening contains a run-on structure: “The reason is very simple it accumulate…”; it needs punctuation and a correctly formed clause. Agreement and articles are also inconsistent, as in “a lot of skyscraper…that already has” and “a indiviual.” Other examples include “which lead to congestion” and “effect its daily life.” Use shorter, controlled sentences first, then add complex structures with accurate subject–verb agreement, articles and punctuation.
