Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is widely argued that provide ample homes is extremely crucial for the individual so that the excellent way to supply enough houses in large towns is to construct high-rise building blocks and I strongly agree with this view because it is give high benefits to the people who live in cities area and they can easily access different type of amenities.
One of the main reason to build tall apartment to the cities area is that people can access all kind of facilities such as, individual can utilize land for other purpose. They construct other high-rise building and more and more people can live their also this idea can save the land. China, For instance, government establish vertical building instead of horizontally it also save land and they use other land for other kind of facilities such as, schools, colleges, hospitals and public park. Hence, people access all kinds of service without pay high amount for it.
Furthermore, individual can live without pay high rant for land and house and they do not face any problem because in the cities all kind of services are available so people easily buy things they want without any problem. To illustrate, in cities side there many online food and groceries applications are available if individuals busy in their work, they will buy this things through online platform. consequences, this benefits save individuals time.
However, there are some negative aspects such as, it increase traffic congection in town area and due to this problem in cities numerous accident are happen and many people espacially young people loss their life.
In conclusion, although there are negative aspect, it positive aspects give more benefits to the people and it increase peoples life stye and it give opportunities to the young people they can get better education.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction: you strongly agree that high-rise housing is an effective way to provide homes. You give relevant reasons, especially saving land for facilities and making services accessible, and the China example helps illustrate the first point. You also acknowledge a disadvantage, which shows awareness of both sides. However, some ideas are not fully explained or closely tied to the question. For example, the discussion of online food and grocery services shows convenience, but does not clearly explain how apartment blocks make housing more available or affordable. The conclusion introduces education and opportunities for young people without developing these points earlier. Explain the housing benefits more directly and support each main reason with a specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, supporting paragraphs, a counterpoint and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “Furthermore,” “However” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of your argument. The overall progression is understandable, but connections within paragraphs are sometimes unclear or mechanical. For instance, the move from saving land to building more high-rise buildings needs a clearer explanation, and “Consequences” does not connect smoothly to the preceding example. Some references, such as “this idea” and “this benefits,” are also not fully clear. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main point, then connect each example explicitly to that point and vary linking expressions where needed.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to urban housing, including “high-rise building blocks,” “facilities,” “public park” and “traffic congestion,” so the reader can follow the main ideas. However, the range and control of word choice are limited, and several inaccurate or repeated expressions make parts of the response less natural. Examples include “high rant” for rent, “cities area,” “life stye,” and “people access all kinds of service.” Spelling errors such as “congection” and “espacially” also affect clarity. Aim to learn common collocations for housing and urban development, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you explain affordability, land use and access to services without relying on broad phrases such as “all kind of facilities.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause with “because” and a concession introduced by “although.” The main message is generally understandable, but some grammatical errors recur and occasionally make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. For example, “It is widely argued that provide ample homes” is missing a grammatical subject and verb structure, while “it is give high benefits” has an incorrect verb form. There are also errors in agreement and sentence construction, as in “One of the main reason” and “numerous accident are happen.” Review subject–verb agreement, articles, plurals and verb forms, and practise building accurate complex sentences before adding further clauses. Clearer sentence boundaries will also improve readability.
