Student answer (Band 5.0)
The homes in large cities is to build tall apartment blocks has sparked considerable discussion in recent years. Although some believes that having tall apartments blocks will save the space. Other argue that having own house can decorate as we want wereares we cannot do apartment. In my opinion , I largely agree with building tall apaertment can stay many family member and also the other relegions and this eassy will explain why.
The primary reason for my agreement is instead of building a house we can build apartment . For instance, if we a build a house there people maximum ten people but if we build a apartment there we get plenty of separate room for those who stays there. Moreover, by building a apartment will save more space and also we get more neighbour near our room. If we build our own house we get freedom but in apartment we do not freedom, we have listen apartment owner
Another compelling argument is if we stay in apartment, we can change the apartment whenever we want. Futhermore we get cheaper compare to house, this shows that in cities most of pupils stay in apartment. This clearly indicates that analysis . Critics may argue we cannot afford a house near cities and also it not get for budget friendy but this overlook apartment is affordable for most of people
In conclusion, I firmly agree that having tall apartment blocks where there can stay plenty of people due to build tall apartment blocks instead of enough homes in large cities. While, alternative views exist, most owner build tall building this indicates that we can save a lot space. Addressing this issue effectively requires less space to build tall apartment

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You take a position—“I largely agree”—and give relevant reasons, including space-saving and the lower cost of apartments. However, the response only partially develops the task: the reasons are asserted rather than clearly explained, and some examples are difficult to interpret, such as the comparison between how many people can live in a house and an apartment. The discussion of “other religions” and changing apartments is not connected clearly to providing enough homes. You briefly acknowledge an opposing view, but do not explain or answer it fully. To strengthen the response, keep each point focused on housing capacity in large cities and support it with a clear, specific example. The required length is met; 10 words copied from the task prompt were not counted.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, so there is a basic attempt to organise the argument. You also use signposts such as “The primary reason,” “Another compelling argument” and “In conclusion.” However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow: the first body paragraph moves from building houses to room numbers, neighbours, freedom and apartment owners without clear links. Some connectors are inaccurate or mechanical, including “Moreover,” “Futhermore” and “While,” and the conclusion repeats the idea of saving space rather than drawing the points together. Several sentences are incomplete or unclear, which weakens the links between ideas. Use one main point per paragraph, explain it in sequence, and make each linking phrase express the relationship intended.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some task-related vocabulary, including “tall apartment blocks,” “save more space,” “affordable” and “neighbour,” and you attempt phrases such as “primary reason” and “compelling argument.” However, the range is limited and several word-choice, spelling and collocation problems make parts of the argument hard to understand. Examples include “pupils” for people living in cities, “budget friendy,” “other relegions,” and “most owner build tall building.” Repetition of “apartment,” “build” and “space” also limits precision. Aim to learn accurate housing-related collocations and check spelling and word forms. More precise vocabulary would help you explain density, affordability and access to housing without relying on repeated general terms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast beginning “Although some believes…” and a conditional example beginning “if we build…”. However, complex structures are often faulty, and frequent errors in agreement, articles, sentence construction and punctuation sometimes make meaning difficult to follow. For example, “The homes in large cities is to build…” does not form a clear grammatical sentence, while “if we stay in apartment, we can change the apartment whenever we want” has article and number problems. “Most owner build tall building” also shows errors in plural agreement. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses. Check articles, plural nouns and verb forms, and use full stops to separate complete ideas.
