Student answer (Band 5.0)

It is argue that whather or not providing enough hoses in remarable towns is to build tall partment blocks is good for everyone. Some individuals opine that for living in cities to build tall apartment would be beneficial while, others believe that it will be alarming for everyone. However, creating large aparment in lar cities for living in enough houses woud be detrimental consequence.I completely disagree regarding the statements because a baunch of plausible reasons.

THere are numerous causes why should not create tall apartment in large cities. The main reason is,it may incease the pollution and create over croud. When people create tall building in the town.It may leads pollution such as air, sound and so on.Which is very disturbing for children's brain development and citizen's daily life. For instance,When engineers constructed the apartments,it makes noise and dust .If that things touch to the childs and elder people they may have face several diseases. As a result, sometimes it creats many diseases which is not only alarming for children but also others sectors.

Another reason is,it decreases job opportunities. If individuals build house in cities rather than countryside ,they may create difficulties to have any jobs in any labour sectors. The competition to achieve a work would be very complex. For example, when employees move toward cities the number of candidates went up significantly.Followed by,the employers make the interview more complex.Consistently,Unemployment rate will increase .In addition the financial, physical and mental health will be detrimental in many ways.

In conclution, although diverse opinion persists regarding the making of tall building in urban areas ,I reiterate my conviction,It may causes several problems which can impact in our region and citizen.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you state that you “completely disagree” and maintain that tall apartment construction can cause problems. The response also gives two reasons—pollution and reduced job opportunities—and includes examples, so it addresses the topic rather than going off-topic. However, the argument only partly answers whether tall blocks are the best way to provide enough homes. The pollution discussion focuses mainly on construction impacts, while the employment point is not clearly connected to housing supply and is difficult to follow. Develop the central comparison by explaining how high-rise housing affects the number of homes, and support each reason with a clearer, more relevant explanation or example. A more precise conclusion would also restate the main reasons for your position.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The essay has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. Paragraphing helps the reader identify the main stages of the argument, and expressions such as “The main reason,” “Another reason,” and “In conclusion” signal progression. However, some links are mechanical or unclear. For example, “Followed by” does not clearly show the relationship between more candidates and complex interviews, and “Which is very disturbing” is an unclear sentence fragment referring back to several possible ideas. Some references, such as “that things,” also make it hard to identify what is meant. Use fewer formulaic transitions and make the connection between each claim, explanation, and example explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “pollution,” “job opportunities,” “competition,” and “unemployment rate,” and you try to express evaluation with words such as “detrimental” and “alarming.” However, spelling errors and inaccurate word forms are frequent and sometimes make the reader work to understand the message: examples include “whather,” “hoses,” “apartment,” “croud,” and “conclution.” Several combinations are also unnatural, such as “create over croud,” “achieve a work,” and “detrimental consequence.” This limits the precision and control of your vocabulary. Build a reliable set of collocations for urban housing and employment, and check spelling and word forms carefully. Prefer clear, accurate expressions over ambitious words used in unsuitable combinations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional structure in “If individuals build house in cities rather than countryside” and a cause-and-effect explanation beginning “When people create tall building.” However, control is limited: errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries occur throughout. For example, “It may leads pollution” should use the base verb after “may,” while “it may causes” has the same problem; “the number of candidates went up” also shifts tense within a general explanation. Some sentences are fragments, including “Which is very disturbing…” and “Followed by, the employers…”. Practise building complete sentences with accurate subject–verb agreement and consistent tense, then check punctuation so dependent clauses are joined correctly.
